Nothing, no matter how horrible, ever really happens without the approval of the government, over there and here. The problem isn't the doing, the problem is that the people in power have to admit they knew.- From the movie "Shooter"

Well lets start with thursday. After grabbing my mate and
Tartii we hung out at my house and proceeded to get up bright and early friday.
After getting to the hotel at 10am we were expecting to have to wait for the 1pm check in only to be pleasantly surprised by the hotel staff. We were told our rooms happened to be ready and waiting and oh boy were they SPECTACULAR! The hotel was very beautiful and clean which is a big thing for me. So after getting all our luggage up to the room we proceeded to get our badges and frolic around the con. After opening ceremonies we decided to move around, go see the dealers den and do various other things to amuse ourselves. We met the Guests of Honor
cerberus and
foxamoore both of whom are very nice and approachable people. We then went to dinner at the hotel's Crimson bar if I remember the name correctly. After that my mate and Tartii went off and I proceeded to place 2nd in the con Poker Tourny. Which I all recommend you to enter next year. It's Texas Hold'em and more for fun then to actually win plus the 10$ entry fee was donated to C.A.R.E. so that was really cool. And so ended an awesome Friday. Unfortunately we were hungry and I made the mistake of ordering what we thought was good pizza which in turn caused Tartii and Wolico to get sick as well as myself feeling extremely queasy for the rest of the night.
Saturday morning we all decided to sleep in after last nights horrible pizza. I didn't get up out of bed until right before the Japanese Game Show, which the wonderful Ryu hosted again this year. It was an absolutely hilarious time and is always fun to watch. He really knows how to play the crowd and get the rhythm going. After a quick drop in the Headless lounge to cool off we then proceeded to go to the Dance Competition. As always everyone did a great job, a few who really stood out to me, were (Sorry if I misspell your names!) Cinder, Alex, and the one young contestant with the skull mask. They all did very well as well as the two judges who danced, very nice. I then proceeded to go to Fosgate which I must say was rather enjoyable for a play. They played with the crowd a tad and it made for an amusing show. After this the event the three of us had been waiting for had finally come. Now earlier that morning we had been in the dealers den and bought Fox Amoore's Cd's which btw are absolutely amazing. During which I had mentioned to him how much Tartii loved his Scottish accent and would love if he played a Lion King song at the concert. I was mostly joking at this and he asked her which one she wanted, only the catch was that she had to go up on stage with him. As God as my witness he did it....he brought her up on stage and sung "Can you feel the love tonight" up on stage during the concert. Tartii of course was flailing with happiness and I was glad to see the concert and happy that my friend had gotten her wish. All in all, another awesome night and concert with congrats to all the band members for their really hard work! Plus the encore!
Finally it was sunday, the dreaded last day of the con. Sleeping in once more we caught the end of the fursuit games and patiently waited for the C.A.R.E. set up. Following a very nice performance by the animals and their respective handlers we got to take pictures and began to wait for the charity auction. That day I happened to have on my fancy clothing and I bid on the Robin Hood coin which I gave to Tartii, a collectable con car which I gave to Wolico, the last Megaplex bowling shirt which I got signed by Uncle Kage, Fox and Tirrel. Which I believe at this point Fox and Kage began to call me the Swiss because I was in the middle and was bidding...quite a bit of money haha. I also bid on a poster from a artist showing the Fox and Rhubarb Concert. Lastly I bid on the commemorative poster for Megaplex 12 which is the only one besides the other which goes with the con. So I had 1 of 2 posters which I am very happy with. Most of these things will be framed and only the shirt will be brought out perhaps 1 or 2 days of the con and then put back into it's frame. Following that we went to the Funday Pawpet Show which of course was a blast, I unknowingly volunteered to eat 2 spoon fulls of butter...which I only ate maybe 1 1/2 of. I got a poster for my troubles(Thank God!) Wolico got to go up and grab Blitz's butt which was rather amusing and happy enough she got one of the rare achievements for it. After this and a throughly amusing book reading by Uncle Kage it was time for the Closing Ceremonies. After telling us the awesome numbers and what we could expect for next year I was surprised by an announcement for last minute achievements, in which I got one for spending the most at the auction and Uncle Kage got one for having the highest single bid. With that the time came and the con closed we packed our stuff up, went to go eat then proceeded with the ride home.
All in all I'm glad I went, I'm happy I got to go with friends and through good and bad I had a great time. I plan to be there next year and possibly be Security! I want to be part of what makes the cons great. I can't wait to see you all next year and hopefully we will make it bigger than ever!
