the dweebiest joke I've thought of this week

Okay, so if they wind up making a sequel to Pacific Rim, it'll probably take place at least partly in Japan, right?
And a major plot point would probably be the technology that lets the jaeger pilots synch up their brain activity, right?
Therefore the sequel would be Pacific Rim II; Tokyo Drift.
You're welcome.

*runs off to tell her boyfriend it*
:p
Seriously though, why do we need a sequel to a amazing film ?
but monsters attacking Japan....nothing new there. They seem to have an obsession with seeing cities destroyed by monsters over there.....Japan you're weird.
The Kaijuu is a metaphor that represents the unchecked detrius of human society. Godzilla is accidentally created by man when man neglects to fully understand the consequences of its actions (Like dumping nuclear waste). Godzilla becomes the consequences that smack man down in his arrogance.
What inspired Godzilla? The nuclear bombings of WW2. The monster was a metaphor for the fear that perhaps mankind had finally gone too far, and was overdue for a comeuppance.
The ironic thing is that over 50 years later, we're being threatened by the potentially dire future brought on by global warming.
