So, hungry...*belly rumbles* X-x
Well, I am sure it happens to about everyone at one time or another - being low on food and hungry until payday or waiting for food stamps to renew.
I am over at my fiancee's house and most of what is left is condiments and canned goods - several types of pre-cooked salted veggies, apple sauce, mandarin oranges, and one bottle of fruit juice. Only protein sources remaining is peanut butter (which my fiancee cannot eat due to medical dietary restrictions) and a few eggs. To be blunt, it sucks being 3 days away from his food stamps to renew and he is down to so little food.
Right now, a pizza would taste so good to both of us. X-x
Unfortunately some things are not in my favor:
-I have $2 cash and my paypal is on empty after buying supplies for the commissions that I owe and paying off my own bills.
-My fiancee's food stamp balance is under $10 which is not enough to even order a pizza from the closest place that does allow food stamps.
-He lives out of delivery range of both Pizza Hut and Dominoes but we could pick up a pizza.
-My account on Redit for Random Acts of Pizza is not yet a month old.
-I could easily earn back pizza funds since I will be vending at a 1-day community yard sale on Saturday.
I could offer to trade for equal credit in art or pay a kind soul back on Monday.
Can someone help out a hungry kitty and her wolfie?
Update: Well, no pizza last night but we did eat the eggs and fried up some potatoes to have for dinner. That was the last of the eggs. Still 2 more days to get through before his food stamps renew. *sigh*

Also, a recipe for something filling, tasty, and cheap.
Go down to the grocery store, get a box of mac-n-cheese, a can of brown beans, and one pound of hamburger.
cook them seperately, mix them together in a big pot, and add just a little ketchup.
Should feed both of you at least twice and keep you full for hours after, all for under $6.
It was something I ate a lot of in my college days; more nutritious than ramen.
[That would be wonderful, but I'm not supposed to eat beans [yes.. i know did - still shouldn't have and my body let me know it.]
But I do feel for you and your boyfriend, and the situation that you're in. If I could help, I most certainly would.
I'm glad that you both at least feel a bit less alone though.
Call your local food stamp office, tell them your situation, and get a new appointment set up. I hope the best for the situation for you both.
Let your fiancee know that I say thank you though. :)
I'll probably end up trying to apply for the warehouse where everything is packaged and such for the store I work at. It would be full time with 12 hours and with a higher starting pay, but the only issue will be figuring out transportation since I only have my driver's permit and we only have one car.
