Understand that there's a difference between faith and willful stupidity. Belief in an afterlife is faith; violation of your faith's primary tenets (ie: compassion, humility, honesty) in the name of your deity is willful stupidity. That is something we could certainly do without, but as they say: you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink. Far better to simply work towards an agreement to disagree, and keep our hands to ourselves.

My use of faith by definition is: "a firm belief in something for which there is no proof." I have never used faith in any other circumstance or by any other definition than that.

Definition isn't the issue; I think that your definition is pretty accurate and concise. It seems that you want rationality to be the winning team, and I can and will not argue with that; not so far as matters of actual real world importance go. However, why marginalize someone because they believe in something unprovable?

To be frank, It makes sense that kids from an early age, Should be taught the important things like:

Being decent to others.

Getting a good education and Street-Smarts.

Honesty, Integrity, Valour...etc etc

I myself may not like having &or the idea intercourse, but I would never stop others that love& enjoy expressing it,

I can agree that there are worse things out there than genitals and sex, but also, you have to admit while its apart of our body and can *sometimes*be beautiful, it can be gross and/or disgusting. It's a dangerous world out there, and I know three things for certain: there is good crazy and bad crazy(I won't elaborate), that despite what others think love is stronger than lust(though that doesn't mean lasting relationships can't be built on them), and that I know deep in my heart and soul that there is something more than what we see, something bigger than all of us.
I may be a moralistic person, but I still masturbate, even if I think it can be gross. I'm a romantic at heart and, goshdarnit, still with all the erotic art fan/other think there are more important things than sex. I mean, good god, I've seen dirty/naughty fan art of characters cartoon or otherwise, but I don't let it affect my childhood or how I feel about them!! There's nothing wrong with seeking clean or purity. Besides, there probably in there own world, lookin' at these and feeling pretty ashamed/ embarrassed for us(don't look at me like that,any things possible).

And a little thing about atheism/faith/religion: Don't tackle eachother about who's right and who's wrong cause there is too much hate already. Because both religion and science were founded by humans, it's obvious they're both flawed, however: I like to think anything is possible, even if one thing is more boring than another. I have FAITH in everything because I am a very hopeful person. My mother may not be a very good catholic, but she still prays silently to God to keep me and my brother safe.
