thought id make a journal for the hellfire dragon race i have
they eat colored fire. different colors have different magical properties. the demons found a way to control these fires so as a way to force these helldragons into their servitude. so its not that they cant get free, its that to survive they must subject themselves to slavery if they are to eat and live. (they can eat normal things too, but if they dont eat colored fire at least somewhat regularly they loose their own magic, and they also loose their resistance to the fires of the underealms. and if they cant resist the heats they would die)
they are technicaly not from "hell" but a place called the under realms. its a plane for powerful demons, not just your ordinary imps. the helldragons used to be some of the most powerful, they even RAN demons. which was what lead them to find a way to crush the dragons underfoot by using their own diets against them, so they could lord over the powerful dragons. there have been few uprisings but none sucessful enough to flip the power back to the dragons.
a hellslave dragon is enthralled to their master, not majorly so. they do have free thought, but their slave branding makes it so they cannot willfully disobey a direct order or wish. example, if a master tells a slave they arent allowed to speak about something they saw. if the slave tried, their mouth wouldnt form the words. or if a master tells a slave they are to stand guard over them. if a slave tried to raise a weapon against their master they would feel physical pain inside till they ceased.
when a slave gets its first master. blood is taken from their own veins and made into a bloodstone, their slave emblem. the holder of this newly made stone then places the stone someplace on the hellslaves body and makes the final branding. they are now its master. and whenever ownership of the hellslave is passed or sold along. the stone must be willingly given and surrendered. the master will denounce his ownership and whom he gives it to becomes the new holder, and the new holder can then chose to change the branding location, and the slaves name. the slave will then forget its old name and only remember its new one (and if the slave was born outside of slavery it will remember its birth name too)
also. the only way to free a slave completely from its servitude is that the current master has to slice their palm, press it to the slave brand and recite "by blood and by word i Unbind thee". but be warned. they are now under NO enthrallment and may even try to eat you!! its a big risk freeing a slave, especialy one thats been in servitude longer.
hellslaves are well versed in MANY tasks. bodyguarding, common household chores, sexual appeasement, pit battles (like a cock fight ring) even babysitting if your slave is well instructed enough. they will do as they are commanded.

1) you cannot resell for more than you bought it for
2) you can make minor changes to the desgin, if you want to know wether something would be minor note me
3) you cannot change the speciese from being a hellspawn

If found outside of slavery what is their social structure? Be they primal(Caveman), tribal(Indian), feral(Wolf), medieval(Honor-bound/religious), techy(Technology-baised..), magic based(Mages.), Techno-mages. (Technology and magic.)
What is their main religion? Does it have sub branches?
Do they have have a common tongue or noises that they let out to each other? Perhaps even a crown that they display on their body like a cobra shows to make themselves look bigger and more intimidating?

they live hundreds of years like dragons would. about 25,000 years ballpark

not particularly, but typical dragon slaying magics or weapons do have an effect on them.

they can get sick like anyone else, but its harder for them to.

they will speak a dragons tounge, or if they feel like "excluding" someone nosey they will degrate to speaking in strictly feral dragon roars, clicks, hums and whooping
