Commissioning Me and Payment Process
-Commissions are usually opened up through journals describing the type of commissions I’ll be taking on, as well as how many and a description of the prices.
-My Twitter/Discord is strictly for personal use, and I will not accept commissions there. Please use my journals to commission me.
-Payment will be handled strictly in USD through PayPal.
-Payment will be due after the initial sketch, or after the full piece is completed, however please wait until I ask for you to send payment to avoid confusion.
-I currently limit it to one picture per person, as it keeps me from being overworked and gives others a chance to get a slot as well. On rare occasion I will let someone take 2 slots, but never more than 2.
-I do offer full refunds on pieces that haven’t been started yet, or if I feel like I’m unable to draw it.
The Commission Process
-While I love drawing, I do tend to work at my own pace so that I don’t get quickly burnt out. Commissions are my top priority, but I do work a bit slowly compared to other artists. However, I promise that your drawing will get done, I just ask that you be patient with me.
-That being said, I don’t accept deadlines for any reason. I have other responsibilities outside of FA and the internet, and by commissioning me you must understand that. My turnabout time is about two weeks to a month, so please don’t expect it done in a day.
-Contacting me for updates is perfectly fine, if done in moderation. Feel free to ask me about progress every so often, but please don’t ask frequently as it can get a bit tiresome.
-I do offer the option of a wing-it or artistic freedom, but please know that by choosing this option that it does mean whatever comes to MY mind. I can work with a theme or general idea, but by giving me freedom over the drawing you are giving me creative control. I’m not a mind reader, if you have an idea of what you want your commission to come out as, please tell me beforehand.
-If you’re unhappy with what I came up with during a wing-it, I may be willing to change it for a charge IF I’m feeling up to it.
-I do at times stream my commissions, and I would be willing to stream a commission on request, so long as it doesn’t conflict with my schedule. I will provide dates and times that I would be available to stream the commission, but if you’re unable to attend any of them, I will draw it off-screen.
References and Edits
-Before commissioning me, please have a full reference sheet prepared to show me for your character. I would prefer your reference to be flat-colored, with a front and back view.
-I will not accept shaded references, text-only, or traditional references. Sending me the correct reference is your responsibility.
-During the commission process I do provide rough sketches to confirm the pose before continuing, excluding YCH’s or wing-its. I don’t mind providing WIP’s upon request, and once sent I will wait for your approval before continuing on. However, depending on the circumstances I may be unable to send WIP’s.
-If you see something that you don’t like in your WIP, please let me know once you have received the WIP.
-I will edit any mistakes that I made on your drawing that are MY fault. I won’t change things that are wrong because you sent the wrong reference sheets, it wasn’t on the reference, you didn’t point it out on the WIP, etc.
-Do not take it upon yourself to edit my work without my permission. If I see this happen I will not work with you again.
Rights
-I have the right to turn your commission down. Please do not argue with me should I decide you turn down your commission.
-You are allowed to post the art that you commissioned from me to your personal galleries, however credit must be given where it’s due. You also may not crop out or otherwise remove my signature from the image.
-I have the right to reuse rejected sketches, such as poses that were rejected during the sketch process. I will edit them so that they do not resemble your character.
-I have the right to use my artwork as I see fit. Meaning there is a possibility of your commissioned piece being turned into a print or added to an art book. I retain the rights to my artwork unless client pays for the rights to the piece.
-Adopts lines may be used in my adopt bases that I sale.
