Cause one does not have to focus on a whole evolution line if one does not want too. I never saw anyone really up in arms about Flamedramon Day (or whatever its called) not focusing on the whole Veemon evolution line. Let them have their day, if you so desperately NEED to have one focusing on the evolution line, then make a day yourself.

Today should actually be Lucario day... it was 7 years ago today that the Lucario and the Mystery of Mew movie came out.

If anything, Charizard Day should be either 28 May or 27 February, the day that Attack of the Prehistoric Pokémon in which Ash's Charmeleon evolved, aired (Japan 1998 and North America 1999 respectively).

Actually, I saw the Lucario movie the day it came out in theaters. July 16, 2005, when I was in Nonoichi, Japan as part of a college exchange trip. That will always be Lucario day to me. ^^

I'll have to ask my other half  rukario71 he was in Japan at the time also. But for me, it was when the promo posters for the movie came out months before.

why not just a Pokémon day in general? Though then again there a lot of Pokémon and Digimon stuff around all year....some good some bad (like vore and other creepy gross stuff), but a bit dull o_O
