I'll admit that it's an over melodramatic story, but they did a good job of keeping it sincere even if a bit sappy, and just everything together seems to work so well at... at.... *Bwaaa-hahahah*

I have seen it, and i liket it.

An amazing short with a great story. I do admit its uneven in places, but its a great overall piece of animation, one well worth watching.

BTW, Sonofx51, EVERY main character is a 'pity me' character. Bad things and circumstances always swirl around the protagonist. Its what makes stories interesting. Its how well the story is told around that tragedy that makes something worth watching or not.

to me, the animation, voice acting, and the music are all spot on, it's may have the pity elements, i still find it sad, especially at the ending..

For a short animation it does everything very nicely. A touching tale, well written, good music, good choreography, the whole thing is just spot on and hits you right in the feels. Definitely one of the best things to come from the FiM fandom, and certainly infinitely better than the lackluster short animation "Double Rainboom".

I had seen Children of the Night, having subscribed to their feed after running across the animatic, but Button's Adventure was a new one and quite hilarious! Would love seeing him as a cannon character, or at least more short adventures of his.
