I got back very late last night, so late I just got in put the bags down and went to bed.
The punk festival was good. I got eaten alive however LOL the bugs proper chowed down on me like some free bug buffet so I have (at last count 23) really big puffed up horrible looking bites all over me that are intensly itchy and really quite icky. Eeeewww huh?
So friday night it totally poured with rain and we didnt zip our tent up properly and so I woke up in a really large puddle LOL strangly my husband wasnt soaked at all it seems i had been the dam. So a lot of my clothes were drenched and my pillow and seeping bag which was pretty unplesant. it then continued to absolutely pour with rain all day saturday which was a little bit miserable but is all part of camping fun and at least that kept the bugs from coming back for desert.
The bands were good and we were camping with one of my best friends lillian and their family and despite the rain everyone was in high spirits. and after saturday the rain cleared up and was actually quite plesant for the rest of the weekend. Then monday it was super hot which was errr....not that brilliant considering i was wearing my jeans and tshirt and then a crocodile kigu over the top, on stage under the stage lights and the heat....jeeeez...that was a really really bad plan. I got through my 40 minute set and 2 pints of water pretty well unscathed considering over the course of the weekend id been drinking chilli beer, chilli cider, chilli vodka and chilli whiskey, not to mention enough real ale to float a small boat, I was actually surprised my voice or brain was in any condition to do anything really. but lots of people came up to me to say they liked my stuff, sold some tshirts and cds which was cool and generally had an ace time.
Now im back home, feeling fragile and tired and trying to get through the 45 notes that are waiting for me and various other bits and bobs to catch up before i can pick up a pen and get started on drawing again.
And I MUST stop scratching LOL. Bloomin bugs.
