Seems I am gaining more watchers because of fursuit pics at furmeets. I do not know, but I do have some balanced interest in fursuiting, taking pictures and doing visual arts. (Just want to bring this up before going to the next sentence. Yesterday I have gained three watches-
roxas_hyena,
Xeonce and
ThuGel-thank you again, and to the many others that have watched me and faved my photos since I started posting the other furmeet in the San Francisco Bay Area, Frolic's Furries in the Wild. ) If you have watched me in the past few months, I will say this: since I created my account 1 1/2 years ago, I am on FA primarily to improve my arts. I had the notion that I could use the site as a way to improve on my drawing because I feel that I suck in drawing. I can draw intimate objects well, but not living things, especially humans, and furries. Life is in the way, but I do not give up and I am persistent- I finish what I start eventually, and I complete my to-do lists whenever I have time. I will also say that I like experimenting with many art styles, crayons, colored pencils, watercolor, et cetera. I did post 24 arts, and I hope to do and complete my 25th soon.
NOW, with this in mind, I would like to contribute to the FF'dom (my shortened form of saying "Furry Fandom") in other ways- seeing that I'm getting lots of watchers, I could try being a photographer too. I do have the cheap digital cameras from Kodak however; both are Kodak Easyshare: 8.1 Mpixel C813- http://cdn.dealsdirect.net/m/produc.....duct1_9448.jpg , and the newer-I use it more often-16 Mpixel C1550: http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images.....1pXk9FcRIL.jpg . It would seem that I could take better pics soon so to improve my way of snapping photos. I know one,
chayce who maintains
furtography, and has a near pro Canon rapid shot camera to take his photos- and they look stunning. I am in an indecision however. How do you like my photographs? Is there any improvement I should do for them? Of course, I know of one photo that is sucky: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/11431022/
Is it best if I should trade in or sell the cameras I have for a better one? Should I try taking photos of things that aren't furry-related? If I have a better future in photography, should I give up drawing altogether? I can take any suggestions, and I will greatly appreciate your input.

It's all about what effort and will you are willing to put into your work.
I feel that photography is the same way. An expensive camera has more options, more features, better light control, better motion capture and a higher pixel count, but hand-cam can get the job done just as well. All that counts for nothing if there isn't someone holding the camera at just the right time ( http://www.furaffinity.net/view/11454072/ ), someone who can find beauty in where they are ( http://www.furaffinity.net/view/11471351/ ), or someone who just wants to share what they love doing ( http://www.furaffinity.net/view/11417056/ ).
I've faved and watched you because of pieces like this http://www.furaffinity.net/view/11468662/ where you've seen the beauty of what is, at least so it seems for you, everyday life. You catch moments that people would never know existed if you hadn't had the thought to pull out your camera and snap a shot ( http://www.furaffinity.net/view/9853851/ ), moments that would only be known by a select few and unknown to the great many, moments that I'm sure people will talk about for a long time ( http://www.furaffinity.net/view/9775758/ ).
My advice to you? If you love photography, chase it. If you love making art in any form, chase that too. I'm sure at times it will feel like you have to choose one over the other (I certainly feel that way about the million things I want to learn and do!), but remember: it doesn't take a $500 camera or a $500 tablet to make what you do be beautiful, it just helps.
However, we have once went out on a photowalk together just talking about new ways to capture and seeing cool sites together working on taking better photos. If you're interested in doing a photowalk with us I know Zantal brought up organizing one again soon.
Keep positing photos. I'm so upset I wasn't at the FC Picnic even though I was supposed to be :/
