So, for starters, this Friday on the 30th, I am leaving for Kumoricon, and I won't be back until Monday the 2nd.
That means there are going to be four days when I will not really be available. I will still try to check my notes and comments, but more than likely, I will be too distracted <3
Secondly, I won't be able to draw for a while, because my older brother took his computer back. One, he needed it. Two, I couldn't afford the rent for it anymore (yes, he made me pay rent to use it). I still owe him a total of $70 for it.
Third, I have my friend's netbook, since she is being generous enough to loan it to me, rent free, but I have to figure out how to install my tablet drivers on here (if possible) before I can start drawing again. If all else fails,
is willing to work out a schedule with me where I can come over and use her computer to work on commissions.
THIS MEANS:
If you have commissioned me recently, and don't want to wait, I can try and pull together a refund for you. This may take time, because I am very tight on money right now, but you will get your money back.
And before anyone tries to jump on me with: "Well if you're so tight on money, how can you afford Kumoricon" let me explain:
I made plans to attend Kumoricon three months ago. It is part of WHY I am tight on money. We registered a while back, thinking we could save up enough and still be comfortable on all our bills. We were sadly wrong, but once registered, there's no going back, so I had to scrape together what I could to make sure we can get there, be fed all four days, and get back, AND pay all our bills. This has caused a lot of problems for me, including causing some fights between me and
(don't worry, we got over them).
And somehow, even with all the graveyard shifts and overtime I have been pulling, all we have to get us through con is less than $100. That includes food, and gas to get our driver from Eugene, to Vancouver, and back. Forget spending money (luckily, I am used to not having spending money lol). We are also BARELY making our bills this month. Which is why I am going to remind you that I have a bunch of super cheap adoptables up on
and that I will be putting some old designs up for sale.
I am not trying to gain pity with a sob story, I just want you guys to know what's going on. Things have been very hard all around, and I am really sorry I have to keep doing this to you.
Thank you all for your understanding and support
Love,
Artelyn
