Seriously, this keyboard has been with me for around 4 years, and not a single key has began to fade, things nearly invincible. Cept for when you try to break it over your knee

I have it. The only draw back is that normal room lighting doesn't really charge it, so I have to put it under a lamp either while I'm using it or when I'm out. It has an app that alerts you when it becomes low.

Another plus is that I filed an RMA because my first one had it's feet breaking off and they sent me a newer model for no charge and I got to keep the old one!

the ducky models have INSANE (bling level) backlight programming...mostly for fun.
for more sane options...idk i did the most looking into the corsairs.
They have a black brushed aluminum option with red leds.

it comes with a rubberized concave set of FPS keys that can be quickly switched out with the device to normal keys that they supply
the buttons can be programmed...so you can just light up the awsd keys or whatever suits your fancy.

ahh sure! the shine 2 is p.simple...layout and feature wise, but has a pretty big led layout memory and those gimmicky led light shows.
i guess its up to you, but the kb is of good quality...afaik.

just make sure to get the color you want, i think Ducky defaults with blue leds.

Depends, Mechanical keyboards are quite dependable.
I'm using a cheap $12 logitech cause they seem to be like Nokia phones and take any punishment.

ANYTHING Logitech. Seriously. I've had the same Logitech keyboard for the past ten years. It's so old that the ink is wearing off the keys, and it still functions perfectly. I don't buy peripherals unless they're Logitech.

Customer support and warranties are also top notch. If something does go wrong, they got your back.

If the power runs low - just connect the USB cord and recharge while still using it.
With connected usb power cord it can also stay iluminated all the time.
Has a handy calculator key that loads the windows calculator (I really dig that feature)

It might not be your thing, but ever since I had an IBM model M, with the noisy, clicky keys, I've wanted to get another one, but IBM sold the technology to someone, who sold it to someone else. And now, Unicomp has rights to buckling spring keyboards exclusively. My keying with my M was always so precise, all the others that are pressing down on rubber caps just feel so mushy and cheap now. I have been thinking about getting one I saw online with the "cherry red" switches on each key, but I'd like to try that out first.

I have some old keyboards that have worked like a dream for many many years. First I still have, but now use for testing pc equipment is an old Yahoo! keyboard I bought from walmart in 98 for 15 bux. It is made by logitech... fantastic keyboard only cause it is durable. THe other I still have is the Logitech Ineternet Navigator. Durable keyboard, wonderful keyspacing, I never liked the gummy key feeling though, Now I use the Razor Black Widow Ultimate. Cherry MX Mechanicals.
