Welp. My keyboard's dead. What to replace it with...?
After 9 years of loyal service, my Saitek Eclipse II keyboard has.... finally passed away.
*holds jester hat to heart*
Pretty darn good quality to last that long, imo.
Anyway, I am officially in the market for a new keyboard. Preferably something with nice LED lighting, in the sub-$70 range.
Anybody have any suggestions?
Also, no stream tonight, since I had to repair my computer with the "repair windows" thingy. Dunno what went wrong.
Wait...
If my keyboard's dead...
WHAT AM I TYPING ON!? D:

Or go to the sex shop and get one, its the same as a keyboard but with dick shaped keys instead. Works wonders I tell ya
Seriously, this keyboard has been with me for around 4 years, and not a single key has began to fade, things nearly invincible. Cept for when you try to break it over your knee
I have it. The only draw back is that normal room lighting doesn't really charge it, so I have to put it under a lamp either while I'm using it or when I'm out. It has an app that alerts you when it becomes low.
Another plus is that I filed an RMA because my first one had it's feet breaking off and they sent me a newer model for no charge and I got to keep the old one!
The 10 key on the right is a little...weird though.
I went with the Corsair K95.

Brands to consider:
Ducky
Corsair

the ducky models have INSANE (bling level) backlight programming...mostly for fun.
for more sane options...idk i did the most looking into the corsairs.
They have a black brushed aluminum option with red leds.

it comes with a rubberized concave set of FPS keys that can be quickly switched out with the device to normal keys that they supply
the buttons can be programmed...so you can just light up the awsd keys or whatever suits your fancy.

Should I go for it?
i guess its up to you, but the kb is of good quality...afaik.
just make sure to get the color you want, i think Ducky defaults with blue leds.
It will be a neat change. And it will go with green when/if I change my desktop lights.
I'm using a cheap $12 logitech cause they seem to be like Nokia phones and take any punishment.
I freaking love those things
ooooommgg
Will definitely get that one if my keyboard ever goes out.
Customer support and warranties are also top notch. If something does go wrong, they got your back.

Best keyboard I've ever put my fingers on!
Pros:
Looks awesome!
Motion detector iluminates the keyboard when you reach for it!
They advertise with happy tapping - and this is totally true!
It glows!
It's so smooth!
You don't have to worry about any key symbols fading or rubbing off with time
It's wireless
Even if you don't shut it off when your PC is off the charge lasts for 10 days (TEN DAYS!!!)
If the power runs low - just connect the USB cord and recharge while still using it.
With connected usb power cord it can also stay iluminated all the time.
Has a handy calculator key that loads the windows calculator (I really dig that feature)
Cons:
not exactly the cheapest...
Logitech isn't paying me for advertising this!!!

Mechanical, Backlit, Looks awesome, no gimmicky shit driving up the price
I like gimmicks.
I've saved hundreds getting in-store replacements for headphones and mice.
