It took long enough but she finally reached her breaking point!
That's right, my little Emo-girl finally had enough of being picked on at school when she was being goofy with her friends. Some older kids came up to shove her around, pull her hair and even kick her. Natalie finally raised her fists, took two swings and landed only two blows.
And that, my friends, was enough to stop the fight right then and there!
Kid runs off with a bloodied lip and nose with his brother, and that was the end of that!

We had finally had enough and went straight to the school board but they gave us so much run-around it would have been the end of the school year by the time they took any action.
We finally felt that it would be more helpful for her, and her confidence, if she learned how to handle it on her own. She wasn't eager to learn how to box but I'm glad she picked up SOMETHING!!

I AM proud of her also for restraint! Two former Marines taught her how to box and shootfight so she could've walloped on the kid so much more.

Same here. I probably shouldn't have been in there since the teachers weren't top notch either. I think I took the same pre-algebra class 3 times since I just couldn't grasp it correctly due to them more or less babysitting rather than teaching
