The Fictional Lab Rat List
Let's say you, as a chemist/professional scientist, have some fictional lab rats. You decide to test chemicals (humanely) on your fictional lab rats. How did your lab rats react to a certain chemical? What was your lab rats favorite chemical/chemicals? What chemicals were your lab rats okay with? What chemicals were you lab rats displeased with or couldn't handle? What would you never test on your lab rats? And possibly, Why? If you don't want type it all out, you could always make a list instead. If you'd like to add on to your list, just reply to your previous post. You could also give others suggestion on chemicals their lab rats may want to try or compare relatable test results. The only suggestions you shouldn't make are for the chemicals their lab rats did not like the experience of or will not use; if they didn't like it then they didn't like it.
I'll give an example of both the a small typed out paragraph and a list:
My lab rats favorite chemical would be MDMA or a chemical that has the same empathetic and sensitive feel to it, like the research chemical 5-APB. They might really enjoy that feel good vibe and the heightened senses they get from roll like substances.
My lab rats would also enjoy psilocybin and 4-ACO-DMT, they would find the closed eyes effects to be beautiful, love the vivid patterns, and sometimes find the distortions interesting. These psychedelics my lab rats would use may take them to a new plane of existence, possibly positively changing their perspective.
In a world where my lab rats exist they struggle with DXM, Diphenhydramine, and THC. DXM, even in light doses, is too much for them and they feel as if they're dying each time. Diphenhydramine seems awful for any lab rat; although the hallucinations are fascinating to the rats, there's an extremely sleepy insomnia and it brings painful damage to nerves during and after... THC has been tested on them many times and each time the THC make them fidget and panic in lighter doses. In higher doses it becomes to mind numbing and the rats have a very difficult time functioning.
My lab rats may enjoy expanding their rat brain knowledge on a variety of chemicals such as 6-apb, Peyote, and DMT. The rats would consider etizolam for rest after other chemical or in case of bad trips, but they are not the biggest fans of Benzodiazepine due to benzo-personalities and addictions.
Now here's the exmple list of what my fictional lab rats have ingested (most of these chemicals have been researched on more than once):

my lab rats in their trials:
MDMA: loved
codeine: loved
hydrocodone: loved
prozac: disliked
zoloft: hated
DXM: liked sometimes
spice: hated
THC: was indifferent to, then lab rat lily eventually hated
Cocaine: loved
adderal: loved
mushroom: hated. lab rat Steve is uneasy with vomiting unfortunately
25-c: loved
25-i: loved
lsd: loved
OxyContin: indifferent
salvia: indifferent
lab rats in this study have developed panic attacks from THC, and trials of some substances that increase anxiety will no longer be tested.
It's a similar experience with little to no nausea and they could even eat on it without a problem too (at least my rats could).
Thank you for posting~
i think id rather do a non-fictional test on myself with THC
- THC: love it. consumption varies, anything from every day, to weeks in between
- Salvia: indifferent, but they only tried a low grade extract. they will be tested on it again in the future
- Spice: dislike
- DXM: love it, but they test it once a month at the most to keep their tolerance nonexistent and prevent any negative health effects
- Drinking ethanol: indifferent
- Hydrocodone: they liked it until the come-down, which was terrible. have only experimented with twice
- Alprazolam: liked it
chemicals that may be researched by my fictional lab rats in the future:
- mushrooms
- MDMA
- LSD
- DMT
- salvia (again)
- peyote
- maybe some stimulants like adderall
- maybe some of the popular RCs
things that would never intentionally be tested on my fictional lab rats:
same as yours
thanks for the opportunity to share our lab rats' experiences!
It's nice to see the variation of what nonexistent lab rats like and it's interesting to know how it affects every imaginary rats body differently. I can't wait to see more of this these fictional lab tests!
I hope your rats get a chance to expand their knowledge on those future chems.
Test kit are always good and I wish I was wise enough to buy one in the past.
Things me done did:
-Cannabis: Staple of diet.
-Nitrous Oxide: Staple of diet. (Great when mixed with the above rat product.)
-LSD: Another staple. I had to give my rat friend a break 'cause he was goin' a little cray.
-LSA: Less visual, lots of puking, but still fun.
-DMT: I once spent a large sum of money to secure 9 grams of the junk for my ratfriend. It was gone in a few months! What a indulgent little guy!
-Nicotine: Staple of diet.
-Marinol: Carries a heavier body load and takes a long time to come on, but lovely.
-JWH-018: Gave my little DESIGNATED LAB RODENT a fucking headache.
-2C-I: Fun.
-Codeine: A true treat for rats.
-Methadone: A truer treat for rats.
-Hydrocodone: I give my little shithead rat friend at least 5 daily and he's still living.
-Oxycodone: Warm, wavy, yet it seems to piss off my rodent friend a whole lot and raise his blood pressure. Bad news.
-Morphine: Never seen a rat so relaxed! He likes the stuff.
-Diacetylmorphine: My rat friend likes the "nod" a whole bunch, but he knows this is bad news.
-Fentanyl: The holy grail of rat treats. Less experienced rats should abstain.
-Dilaudid: It made my rat buddy piss himself and pass out. I'm pretty sure he thought he was dead! I give it a C-.
-Propylhexedrine: Is not good for rats. It's just not.
-Methamphetamine: Like Propylhexedrine but less nasty. Still not for rats.
-Adderall: My ratfriend cleaned my whole house for me in less than an hour! Great stuff!
-Cocaine: So maybe it makes the little guy a bit violent, so what! It looks like it sure feels good.
-MDMA: Gay.
-MDA: Gayer.
-AMT: GAYEST.
-DXM: Makes my ratfriend vomit and have a hard time urinating, but he still seems to like it.
-Dramamine: So I give it to him when there's nothing else... it makes him feel "stoned."
-Diphenhydramine: Don't underestimate this stuff, my ratfriend had one hell of a time when he took 25 Benadryl and got caught in a nasty time loop... Which reminds me...
-DATURA: NOT FOR RATS OR ANYTHING. JESUS CHRIST.
-Passion Flower: He says it makes him feel shitty and is not terribly active on its own.
-Zoloft: Gave my little rat a seizure once when I gave him too many! He wet himself and threw up! Yucky! Bad, bad, bad for rats.
-Mirtazapine: Makes for a sleepy rat. It's OK for rats, but not great. Too many negative drug interactions.
-Xanax: Five stars, super-rat approved! Makes 'em feel cozy.
-Temazepam: Same as above!!!
-Klonopin: Quite the emotional edge, but otherwise, fine & dandy.
-Ambien: He forgets. Probably not so good for rats.
-Ativan: My rat enjoys not feeling emotions sometimes. At all.
-Viagra: Not for... young rats.
-Gabapentin: Useful for its minor tranquilizing effects.
-Fly Agaric Mushrooms: Made my ratfriend loose a lot of time... Terribly euphoric yet it Could be dangerous for rats. He also drank his own piss while under its influence! What a weirdo!
-Psilocybin Mushrooms: Fun treat for rats. Easy, clean, very visual.
-Isopropyl Nitrite: So maybe my rat friend likes to sniff up this stuff when he's... y'know, doin' stuff.
-5-MeO-DMT: Made my rat buddy go a little crazy once... Maybe not for rats.
-Ketamine: Great for rats. (Remember to check to see if they're breathing.)
-MBDB: Holy fucking shit, this shit is cool?!!?!? Oh god!
-PCP: Made my rat friend wreck his bedroom and yell nasty things at his rat friends!
-Mescaline: It's like speed, but sorta trippy and makes my rat friend feel nauseous. He could do without it.
-Gasoline: Headaches and euphoria. Most rats are smarter than this.
-Model Glue: Killing brain cells has never been so much fun.
-Ether: What is Reality to A rat on ETHER? NOTHING, THAT'S WHAT. A+
-Ayahuasca: Hours upon hours of physical misery give way to the threshold of a rat's hallucinatory capacity. Not for inexperienced rats. Only the most committed psychorat can enjoy this pukey mess of an angelic journey through space & time.
Things I want to give my rat in da future:
-Crack cocaine: You'll cowards don't even smoke crack.
-Iboga: I am westernized and foolish. Fix me!
-BZ: This is how I finally want to end (his) life.

6-APB - Very positive experience. Some trouble sleeping afterwards.
LSD - Intense and emotionally disturbing. The rat fought the drug too much and ended up in a bad trip.
MDMA - Most positive of all. Less trouble with sleep than on 6-APB, but the rat had already been given a few experiences on 6-APB, so perhaps a shared tolerance was built up?
THC - Caused dopiness, paranoia, tiredness. I would honestly suggest that THC intoxication is one of those in which the user feels like he is in a better state of mind simply because he isn't in his 'regular' state of mind.
Thanks for the page, by the way! Aren't many like these on FA. c:
My lab rats envy your lab rats 6-apb experience and can also very much relate with them on the common insomnia of uppers.
Thank you for your input and no problem, man! Glad folks like you are watching and participating. U uU
used to dose my ratties back when. however, I have kept them good n clean for a while, now. not that I am against it at all, for myself or anyone, just personal choice. I don't know what the future holds, but I am rat-&-experiment-free for now. *shrug* but I have learned a great deal from my previous testing, I must say. allow me to share, yes?
booze(alcohol - downer, drank, esp. liquor with a kick such as 151/99 bananas/goldschlager/etc.): liked it alright until they discovered other(better?) things, & have refused to take it since. go figure. at this point, disliked, if not downright hated by them.
weed(THC - trip, smoked/baked into goods & eaten): unlike other reports I have heard, my rats were not big fans of it. not disliked, but not particularly liked, either. only taken when nothing else was available to them, and even then, not frequently.
coke(cocaine - upper, snorted(most often)/IVed): liked. repeat customers, but only for high quality materials. in fact, it's like that with pretty much all things, as my rats have an extremely high natural tolerance. unfortunate for my checkbook, for sure.
acid(LSD - trip, taken orally): liked a lot. always seemed to be chill but happy on it, so yeah. I'd say it's quite enjoyable for them, looks like.
benzos(benzodiazepines - downer, taken orally/snorted/IVed/parachuted, things like valium/xanax/klonopin/etc.): liked, however they tend to become quite forgetful, and after a few instances of this, they seemed turned off to them due to that side effect alone. however, due to their ability to potentiate opiates, ease anxiety, & aid sleep, they have proven effective in small doses for certain rats at certain times in the past, even after the fact.
DXM(dextromethorphan - heavy trip, taken orally): liked. they seem to particularly enjoy being with other rats when under the influence, and doing it together. very interesting. they seem unhappy at first, though, from nausea. but that is to be expected, & after they vomit, they bounce back and have a great time for many hours.
K(ketamine - heavy trip, parachuted): enjoyed first, then hated. done twice, and will not repeat after the horrors I saw them to through during their second trip. the first looked great so I tried them on it again, but I regretted it after that. never again.
glass(methamphetamine - heavy upper, smoked(favorite method by far)/snorted(never IVed, for whatever reason - timing just wasn't right with them), particularly long half-life): loved it. they always have and probably always will. a big favorite of theirs, and one that isn't "scary" to them it seems, as they do not get insane physical withdrawal symptoms like they do from their other big favorite, listed directly below.
dope(heroin - heavy opiate, downer, always IV/muscling(if IV impossible/miss), both west coast tar & east coast powder): loved it too much, cut them off years ago. also did a variety of other, weaker & similar opiates before and during use. in any case, a sick, sick love affair between H & the rats, from what I have observed.
methadone(synthetic opiate, downer, taken orally/in liquid form - yucky cherry flavored(their reaction makes it clear that they hate the flavor with a passion), used in addiction treatment/maintenance drug): they don't get giddy on it, but it has done the trick for staying off the previous thing, as before they went into what looked like extremely painful, and downright horrifying physical withdrawal. I can't speak for the mental aspect of it, but they also seemed anguished in that sense as well, if I had to guess. they are doing well, and I am slowly easing them off of the maintenance therapy they've been on for a while now. all is well so far.
have tried to get them on molly(MDMA - upper, taken orally) to see results, as suggested by others, but it has never worked out - for various reasons. fallen through orders, or orders they were never sent out/followed through with by the manufacturer. shoddy businesses, these rat med distributors! alas.
that's all I have from my rat ownership and experimentation thus far.
