Hey guys! It's  toraie.

So it looks like the Forsyth meet is a go; everyone seems to be up for it, including the group! There's still plenty of time to plan for it, of course, and if you can't attend, there are other furry events in the meantime, about which I'll be posting separate journals. Right now the plan is to get there early and reserve a spot before the race ends, because if the race is the same as last year, it's going to end at the Drayton end of Forsyth and spill everyone out throughout the park. I'm thinking that little corner next to the fountain with all the shade would be a good place to set up.

You guys tell me what might be fun to have as activities - hula hoops, beach balls, and the like are definite, but if you have ideas for fursuit games, let us know! The weather will be nice and cool, and there's an air-conditioned indoor cafe if anyone -really- needs to cool off.

As far as food goes: I hope to have plenty! But this will of course rely on you guys to bring a variety of things to nom :3 I will also be arranging a catering option with the newly-opened Chipotle on Victory Drive for anyone who forgets/can't bring anything/has a little cash/is part of Chipotle Master Race. It's $8.50 per burrito per person, and comes with your choice of meat, chips, guac, and salsa. All told, it's a pretty good deal compared to menu prices, and if you haven't tried Chipotle before, I highly recommend it. Very highly.

Other food/snack items we will need:
Drinks (Soda, water bottles)
Ice
Plasticware (utensils, plates, cups - please don't bring styrofoam anything)
Blankets/Towels
Totes/Coolers (in case we have to pack up and move elsewhere, it'd be good to have it go easily)
Munchies (chips, pretzels, the usual)
Baked goods/Sweets
Savory foods (proteins/"Main Dishes" of some sort)

If you're an awesome cook and want to show off, bring a lot of whatever you make! Buying something is totally cool too (as long as it's tasty)! Tell me in the comments what you plan to bring, or if you're going to opt for Chipotle instead.

I'm sure we'll get a small SCAD crowd there, so for all you arty types, bring a sketchbook or two, and we'll likely have an art jam going before too long!

To summarize:
What: Fursuiting in Forsyth Park! Bring food! Bring friends! Draw stuff! Have fun!
Where: On a map,, it'd be where the word 'Fountain is, or the triangles around the blue section.
When: Saturday, November 9th starting at 1:00pm. I want to have plenty of daytime for pictures and such, and give people who can't make it until later a chance to still arrive in time for fun!
How: If you're in need of transport to or from, leave a comment! Carpools have worked in the past, because Savannah is a pretty comfy little area, so don't hesitate if you want to make it but don't have a way of getting there - we'll find ya one!
