Yes...it's worth it to us.

I have a *good* lawyer, photo evidence, and witnesses. I am *not* letting her take advantage of us like this, what she's doing to us isn't right.

Ugh. This seems to be getting more and more common with landlords lately. D: We had a similar experience last year when we upgraded our apartment. Same complex and management, were told everything looked great and the deposit would just transfer over - and then 6 months into our lease we get a 'final notice' about 1k worth of 'damages' to the old place that we were expected to pay. We had to threaten a lawyer and show the proof [plus the jerks had signed off on it being acceptable and no fees needing to be paid] that things had been in the same condition as when we moved in.

Hopefully you can get things sorted with a lawyer and she backs down - that's seriously no way to treat any tenant, and especially not ones she's said were her best.

No, there wasnt. She's charging us for petty things (normal wear and tear) and isn't even giving us our pet deposit back (the lizards caused no damages).......she's going down.

I just can't believe her. We took such good care of that house...she seriously found the tiniest things (such as lint behind the dryer, and small water stains in the toilet...just to name a couple) to get us for.

Well I hope this claims court goes well. With the evidence she has she won't hold up long. With the evidence you have however, you'll destroy her in court. After this is done, for the way she's treated you with this situation may I recommend suing the heck out of her for what she's done? After all not only was it not right of her to do this to you I'm sure it's illegal too. Oh yeah she's going down for sure. She's playing with fire and she's gonna get burned & scorched.
