The Mega Banned idea for this month's tournament is still on. I realize that a lot of people were iffy about the idea, and some of the people who complained about the previous tournament (which resulted in this one) still complained about this one
The whole reason this idea was brought one was due to commentary on past tournaments about players feeling overwhelmed, that certain cards and decks were highly unfair and that the player only won because they used a high end deck when the other played merely for fun. The idea also spun about because a lot of the same decks are used, and the game these days IS unbalanced and unfair
So I made a tournament to limit that, take into consideration the needs and wants of the players (namely the ones who could never catch a break, as well as the ones who always won but wanted something different) and made this tournament. It's whole purpose is to:
1.) Bring attention to underused and overlooked cards and decks
2.) Create a fair playing field for everybody
3.) Incorporate the needs of those who suggested this kind of gameplay
If you are a competitive player, and your usual decks were hit, take this as a chance to try something new, make another deck competitive and get to know it. If you play for fun, then you can shine here and not feel pressured by the meta and broken concept of the game these days. If you don't like this tournament, fine, don't enter. Nobody is forcing you to duel. If you prefer, I can cancel this month's tourny and you can do without, this is all brought on my the players, the same people who requested this yet still complain
'
As such, I am going to post the banned decks and cards again. To assure everybody gets their voices heard, I want YOU GUYS to COMMENT on what decks/cards you think should stay, which you think should be removed, and possibly ones you think should be added. No need to be hateful, just give you opinion. November 3rd is when I am starting this event, at that time I will post up the official list for the tournament, as well as the pairings. That way, whatever is on the list has taken into consideration the opinions of anybody who GAVE THEIRS
(Any deck that is in parenthesis will not be subject to change, due to either being the current meta, or having been a problem in the previous few tournaments. Also, certain decks HAVE already been removed because the cards to make them work have been banned)
And, for those curious, YES, the Shadow Spectre cards are allowed here. They come out during the course of this tournament, and I will allow them

I'll be doing sharks or tanukits. Im not entirely sure yet.
So, no suggestions on any decks/cards to be added or removed?
! ! ! !YGOHipster is my DN name
I'll add your DN username to our database
Well, I'll leave him up for consideration of removal
You also have Tachyon Dragon as "Number 104: Galaxy-Eyes Tachion Dragon". Tachyon Dragon is 107. Number 104 is Masquerade (OCG Masquerade Magician - Shining).
Also, fun fact. The Number 61 inverted is 19. Thus a connection between Freezadon and Volcasaurus.
If you have suggestions on singular ones, I'll look at them
Any suggestions for the list?
Also, Ban Thunder End Dragon.
Not just that, a Blue Eyes Deck could also utilize this as well.
Don't forget that this draggy can make all monsters go kaboom besides itself if summoned... TWICE!
Battlin' Boxer and Batteryman seem like possible contenders worth suggesting. I highly doubt Ghostricks and Noble Knights apply, but you're free to state your verdict on them.
So yeah, I figured investigating other archetypes not listed might be a good place to get at, in case there are some competitive decks that were missed.
Batteryman could possibly be a threat, it is rather easy to Short Circuit and OTK with them
Ghostricks are way too defensive, they need to be played just right to work
Noble Knight are good, but not explosively good, they're balanced
Thank you for the suggestions, I'll look into more x3
Unless you count Glassjaw as "gaining hand advantage," since it does work under detach for Lead Yoke and even Utopia. That gives the ability to get back a Switchhitter, rinse and repeat with Glassjaw. Though that does seem threatening, Compulsory and Dimensional Prison do break that potential engine...plus, the engine requires a bit of setup.
But yeah, the deck is synonymous with Blackwings, but hopefully a bit more balanced to not be ban worthy here.
Everything else, I can agree with, since we don't know where Noble Knights will stand in their full potential yet.
Boxers are very balanced. Sparrer nulls your Battle Phase if you special summon him, Glassjaw dies if he's attacked, all of their ATK outside the XYZs don't go abover 1500 other than Glassjaw
Yeah, Noble Knights will have their day sometime
!KnightofZero! on dn :o
As for Safe Zone, what unfair combos do you mean?Yes, it makes a monster difficult to get over, but there are ways to get around it. Destroy the trap and the monster goes with it
attach safe zone to dragon, turn dragon to defense mode. it's impossible to get through to his life points now and if you don't keep a stronger monster on the field than it, he can just steam roll anything attempted.
