Okay so Pokemon X Y happened.
I kinda sorta boycotted getting a 3DS because it wasn't hackable yet. Well, that's not the primary reason.... it's just that I prefer to use handhelds for older games and I have devices that did that already so I just didn't have an incentive to buy one. I always knew pokemon XY was going to be out on the 3DS but it didn't provoke me into getting a 3DS until... well... it came out.
I thought I didn't care.
At least... that's what I kept telling myself. On release I stormed the closest Walmart for the Red Pokemon 3DS XL and a copy of Pokemon y as an impulse buy.... and 120 ingame hours later I realized that I am just as into Pokemon as I was when I was a kid.
Fancy that.
Finally stopped playing once I realized I was hunting for shinies (I miss my Shiny Absol and Vaporeon from Emerald) and breeding for IVs. That's gonna take much more than I have time for. I'd sell the special edition Red Pokemon 3DS XL and Pokemon Y if everyone didn't already have it! As much as I loved the game I don't see myself playing the 3DS much from here... unless I dunno... they put my beloved Dark Souls on it.
I have a few complaints... all interface and loading time for UI elements related (12 seconds every time I had to open the pokedex to find the roaming Moltress, ugh) but yeah... I completely fucked myself over spending so much time playing Pokemon!

But that would be one hell of a time saver!
I'm chilling with Charizard as my team leader currently -w-
Now just gimme a game where I can battle in 3d as the pokemon and not the trainer, and hmmmmm!
after 2-3 weeks I finaly made it through the liga and became the champ... I saw until now only 2 times a Zapdos... 8 more to go until I can actualy attempt to catch it ^^;;;
One of my favorite additions to the new Pokemon games is Amie. It's just too cute <3
I also like the new exp share, it makes changing your party so much easier and swapping one mon out for another is not nearly as difficult as it used to be because it's much easier to bring them up to speed.
Myself, I like to breed and egg a whole new team, use a friend (or that incoming online storage) to safekeep me some key pokés, and then restart the game. Bring in the eggs back, hatch them, enjoy the game again with a whole new (and decent) team. It keeps the game fresh for longer x3 Plus, I've been saving a few teams over the ages just by doing that across some gens, so whenever I feel like multiplayer it up, there's a whole army to choose from~
Unlike you, though, I beat it in under 30 hours and felt zero compulsion to breed pokemon (pointless) or use Pokemon Amie (unnecessary) and didn't bother scouting out the map or talking with everyone since.. well, the game is brainlessly easy in terms of just getting through it.. and I just don't see a reason to keep playing and do all that fun stuff except for the sheer "ERMAGERD I DID IT ALLZ." Which.. makes me sad :(
But then again, it IS made for kids, anyway. Can't expect much substance in the game-play as it stands.
I hear ya there :D
shiny? IV? I have no friggin' clue what anyone's talking about. Last time I played you were happy to get a bike and a squirtle.
*shakes cane*
XD
As for IVs.... also yeah. Friend safari guarantees max IVs... so from there it's just a matter of getting the right IV combination male and females and breeding them into one final pokemon with the desired nature. It's still time consuming... but not nearly as bad as it used to be. I mean damn... it wasn't even viable before... but now it is!
But after seeing Pokemon Origins and how much fun people have been having with X and Y, damn, I'm itching to get back in. And now you're telling me they took out most of the hassle with IVs?
...F**************ck... I just might have to buy a 3DS now. - A-;
I think.
But yeah no what are you talking about Diglett and Ditto are triumphs of design.
but nonetheless, it worked for most of us. This is a game made for fans so I certainly don't recommend it for everyone :3
Each new feature made the game truly enjoyable and this pokemon has finally added a ton of elements that pokemon fans always wanted. I insist, pokemon fans. So yeah, that's why this game doesn't work for a lot of people. The fandom is just huge so that's why it looked like a bigger fuzz than it actually was.
I've had the game for only a few days after it came out, meaning quite a while, but I play more games other than Pokemon.
This Pokemon game is really enjoyable. No complaints.
1: I'm vision impared and can't see the 3D anyway.
2: The 2DS is cheaper.
3: Less chance of my two year old niece breaking it if she (by some insane chance) gets her hands on it.
If I may be so bold, are you actually still working on Paraiso? It's been almost 13 months since you updated it for the first and only time. I was really looking forward to an animated, reader-driven webcomic by one of my favorite artists, but then nothing ever came of it. :(
Even the basic character designs have changed.
Multiple times too.
I did show a bit of the second main version of the story here.

While having several months worth of content and a 1:20 promo flash file... hell six months ago I bought webspace and a domain registerred two years in advance. But the problem then was the story. There was too much exposition and not a whole lot of reasons for people to care about the project at hand. Convoluted and contrived I didn't feel like it was the best I could have done so I decided to start over AGAIN with a lot more thought into the story, and not just the visuals. Some people have seen this version.... but only in person. It's never been uploaded. I will in the future but not yet.
But yeah from THAT point I completely rewrote it again... changing the setting and narrative style, completely axing all expository text walls... trying to focus on the current story at hand, and most importantly finely tuning the characters and designs into something simple but still iconic. I'll post more on this in the future. It's my main focus.... after paying bills ofc~
yeah, I found it odd but a friend gave me a good reason as to why. 3D does take more power to work and we are talking pokemon... a game that consumes a lot of time in just training and catching pokemon XD
also, if you actually want a good 3d effect... the 3d on the 3ds XL looks much better.
And yess thats why I got an XL ;v;!
Thought the game isn't all that bad, but at the same time doesn't feel like pokemon XD.
and if you love you shiney pokemon well there is a way to transfer them all the way to X and Y. Complicate but possible even to get you red and blue pokemon into x and y but onece forward, they can't go back.
I have pokemon Silver and jumped from Silver to Colluseam , then into ruby , then into leaf green before jumping to platinum > soul silver > White > Y
XD I feel sorta powerfull because SoulSilver IS NOT THE SAME as Silver. comepletly diffrent move sets and TM's HM's and MT's PS: TM 41 ThunderPunch(silver only) on a Typlosion = win.
