Orc time travel
So there's this temporal agent, trying to stop the orcs from gaining access to time travel... but he fails and suddenly society around him is changing, he's got orc ancestors and it all starts to feel like things worked out for the best. Muwhuhahaha.

(uh... that was unexpected >.>, sorry)
I think most people think of orcs as brutes only because of the era they are rooted in. humans weren't much better.
I like it being an external factor that triggers everything, but what if at the end instead of fighting them he helps seal his fate on the last event?

bardo: A pocket reality created from and sustained by Mania. The Hollow Earth and the Crystal Spheres are two well-known bardos.
--
Basically, when it was proven the Earth isn't hollow, a bardo was spawned in which the Earth is hollow (and inhabited by Nazis but they came later).
For a while, there was a war between the Martian Empire and Earth - an empire spawned as people realizes there wasn't an empire on mars.
--
Maniac Storm: A sudden shift in the paradigm of the Community, resulting in a mass-unleashing of Mania that at least partially "makes true" what has been proven to be false. The last major Maniac Storm was in 1971, when the Viking landers established Mars indisputably as a barren wasteland devoid of life ― instantly, the Mania released created a Martian Empire that tried to subjugate the Earth, and that was stopped only by the loss of countless genius lives.

So, maybe there's an orc bardo, and they're trying to take over reality by becoming more real.
1 Why would they need such a ability. I can only see such a thing happening if all the mythical creatures went extinct like in the modern times we live in today and the orc is a sole survivor of its proud noble race..
2 if the orc were to alter the past in such a way how would he go about doing that.
I think thats where i'm stumped most. I can see the after math of history changing so much. technology vanishing slowly and being replaced with magic.Humans becoming mythical creatures due to family ties becoming distorted and changed.
I was talking to my friend who was a human one minute ago only to see him become a orc the next. Similar occurrences happen world wide and next we know the human race has been replaced by furries and a were the new extinct race called the furless. Great scott the orc's have just created a magical website called Furless Afffinty, its a nightmare. >_<
Orc today, gone tomorrow is what i'd name the title
2) Perhaps there were key moments in history. Let's say you could pin down the first few attempts at slavery and massacre those attempting it. If you did so with today's technology in the past, it could even appear as magic to those way back when. It could become an ultimate taboo, one that no one ever forgets... And if they do, more smiting.
I don't need to keep Orcs in a mythical setting. Consider the "Living Truce" series: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/7442166/ It starts in the medieval/fantasy era and goes all the way to a sci-fi future setting, its just a world where they didn't die out. Presumably orcs would need to be as advanced as humans to take advantage of the time travel equipment.
LOL FURLESS AFFINITY, oh dear.
I have to read that series because i missed out
Yay I made a funny about an alternate time line in a separate dimension then our own
I like the idea of fixed points in time that must always happen, and then moments in flux. You can change the moments in flux and history will reconnect, it won't be that much of a problem, but if you mess with a fixed point...
I like the idea of time as a wave. Light is a particle and a wave, why not time?
Without Hitler setting a precedent, the limitless ethnic fear could lead to damn horrible things.
I've always dealt with the time traveler's paradox by saying once someone steps out of time, they are immune to causation... But that's just convenient, lol.
I hope if not you, that someone else writes a story inspired by this idea of yours.
Though I hate paradox and time travels with a passion cause it tends to implode my brain, I simply cannot wait to read a story regarding orcs and time travel :D
I manage to cope though haha.
After remembering the time machine the fight with the orc realize that orc must have change the past somehow then he notices that he is changing into a orc little by little starting to freak-out his orc parents calm him down took him home. They took to house made of stones they invited him to a feast there he learn more about his orc family history how they come from a long of warriors and heroies and as he is learning about the change start infecting his mind and personality and before finally accepting his fate and cementing his final step to fully becoming orc the plot-twist is that he learn the orc who started his blood-line is the same orc that travel in travel in the past is now his great-great-great-great-great-great-great-grand father who is held as a hero by leading his troops to victory and how the orc is now a capital race they even started making their own weapons at some points. Might add more later.
