YAY!

Oh lordy, I was wondering if you ever had the trouble of people not reading your journal. About a week ago I did a similar experimental project in another FA account I have (you were the inspiration, yes) and the project was a total success...except for one.

See I kind of did a mean thing --noticing the guy put specifics on his pic when I said I was going to do my own thing, I got back at that by drawing exactly that, but giving it a more comical twist (You want your kid attacking one of my characters with a certain pose? Ok, you get to fight a sentient toy plushie. That's beating you.) Harmless and lots of folks found it funny, dude was upset and wanted me to draw him another one since he paid double...in a project with a variable pricetag. I quoted my journal and he pretty much went and compared it to being caught by the 'fine print' and after that I gave up on explaining it to him.

So yeah, in conclusion? This project? Awesome. People who don't read? Not awesome. Best of luck with this.

Last time it wasn't so bad... I am not sure what happened this time. <=/ I mean yeah, I am doing art at a lower price than I usually charge, but that's so I can work a little more freely and not be worried about specifics and interpreting other's ideas perfectly.

There is one thing I always strive to do - and that is to NOT create online drama. So I am actually hesitant about writing anything about it at all, but it is just getting too frustrating. I almost feel like just ignoring people who abuse this. If they didn't take the time to listen to me, why should I take the time to listen to them?

Because I still try to please everyone, that's why. And it'll kill me in the end. <=P

Pretty much in the same boat here - I get plenty of drama in chatrooms and stuff and RL, I don't want it on my side of FA. And people who just glance at a journal that is relevant to their interest and hit me with a TL;DR just make shake my head in annoyance. The best I can say is 1) pray the revision to this journal will make things clearer (or at least drop the 'i kint reed' population to a manageable few and 2) If they don't get it the first time you explain it why this project doesn't work like normal commissions, then chances are they never will. Such is life.

On another note, yaay, thank you for the surprise watch! :D

The thing is, I thought I was watching you a long time ago! I remember you from Yerf, and I KNOW I would have hit that watch button. <=) Ah well, it is remedied now!

Would you believe, thinking it over, you may be right? Must be one of them goshdarn FA glitches the kids are always complaining about. Either way, still very much appreciated!

I'll bet the Bookmobile never came to their schools when they were children.

That brings me back to fond memories of the book fair. :D

The book fair was easily the high point of Elementary school for me.

Shoot, I was still going back there every year when I was in high school (what can I say, they had some good prices with a good selection)

Yeah, bills suck. I kill them every month and then they resurrect, sometimes in greater numbers! :o
