>A: Try to get home

Done with the magic and done with the Glowstalk sprout, your nearly-full bladder urges you out of the clearing and onto the path back home. You emerge back onto the streets and quickly walk away in a rather odd stance, doing your best to straighten up or pull your paw out of your crotch whenever another Wenta tribes-person comes into view. You walk past a few buildings and some intersections before noticing something move in the corner of your eye. You look up at the edge of someones roof and you spot, of all people, Green-Cloak motioning you to approach him. You briefly consider the idea of simply ignoring him and doing your business, but the strange Felinid has been too helpful to you to Just leave him when he wants to talk. Begrudgingly, you check that nobody is watching before leaping up onto the flat surface of someone's hut. Easy enough, since it's only one story tall.

You pick yourself up over the ledge and stand up with your bladder shuddering from the strenuous motions, and try to form a straight face as Green-Cloak begins talking.

"Hello, Anamaki. You've done well since yesterday. Already, you've started growing a Glowstalk plant and have some experience in simple magics. But I bring dire news, I'm afraid."

Your face falters at those words, knowing that if he said so, something bad happened. You don't say anything though, choosing to let him continue.

"The Canids have chosen to commit an army to forcefully restrain the Wenta village. In two days at sunset, a force of nearly double the size of the Felinid population will arrive and begin assimilating the villagers or kill ones that resist."

Your heart drops into your stomach at this news, and you couldn't begin to understand why the Canids would attack now if they've had such extreme capabilities the whole time.

"Why? Why are they attacking us with so much force now?"

"Because this morning it was found that someone had vandalized a Glowstalk. Someone cut it and didn't seal the cut, allowing it to deflate and die. We asked the Glow Keepers about what they knew and they said they had cut a deal with a single Felinid Alchemist, but she had always come to them. Somehow, though, I don't think this Alchemist is involved. The thing is that Glowstalk is sacred to the Canids, as it provides them with magic, and so they keep insane control over all of their harvests. They view this incident as a direct insult."

Oh man... you don't think that you've ever felt lower than you do right this moment. You were directly responsible for having an army of oversized magic-users be sent to your village, and people were going to die. If the horrified expression on your face wasn't enough, your distress was both shared and magnified by a sudden spattering sound as a bladder spasm took advantage of your shock, and in a society with no underwear, there was nothing to keep it from directly splashing the ground. You managed to cut it off, but Green-Cloak still looked down at the damp spot between your feet. NOW you've never felt lower.

"Um.. do you... need to relieve yourself?"

Well, this was certainly the first time you've seen him flustered.
