Commission extras fee guide

i use the dark theme, therefore my profile and journals cater to it. i apologize if it's difficult to read in the light theme, though i did try to use colors that would be easily visible on either; however, if you can't, highlighting the text should provide enough contrast to read it :3 Updated 2/23/2023
This is a guide of any extra fees for commissions.
My rush fees:
These assume that the commission would have a given deadline of one month, which is the normal deadline. Longer deadlines need to be discussed.
done in 3 weeks or less: +20% of commission price
done in 2 weeks or less: +40% of commission price
done in 1 week or less: +60% of commission price
anything less than a week will have to be discussed.
Complex character fees:
Only written description: +15% of commission price
Very detailed: +10-20% of commission price
Many feathers or scales: +25% of commission price per pair
Extra appendages: needs to be discussed
Items and accessories:
Simple items and accessories are free. Anything more complex will need to be discussed, but generally won't cost more than a few extra dollars.
Backgrounds:
Flat color or gradient: free
Anything else: Needs to be discussed, as backgrounds can take as long or longer than the rest of the image.
Extra characters:
Unless otherwise noted, the price listed is per character. Images with more than two characters need to be discussed.
Alternate styles:
Generally, you should like my art style if you're planning on commissioning me. However, if you want me to draw in a style other than my own, I'll do my best. Base price for this is +50% of the commission price, and will go up depending on the style in question.
Please note, if you'd like to commission me but are intimidated by the things that cause extra fees, I'll be happy to work with you to find a solution to avoid them. Wings can be tucked behind the character or off-screen, and characters covered in spots or stripes can wear longer clothing to cover them.
