Idea:
Spectrum is a hybrid silver and arctic fox, is based on the concept of light and spirit. He is a reincarnation of the [b]human [/b]spirit Krystedez. In a nutshell, that reincarnation was followed through when the ethereal light from a set of crystals set his soul into his current body after he was fatally wounded.
Your character Stellaluna looks relatable to mine, in the idea that she shares a connection with the stars or spirits. It would be amazing if she and Spectrum attain some kind of mutual connection with one of his crystals together. Like a campfire produces heat, his crystal prism would exude a portion of its energy out to their hands together... They can either be holding it, sitting in front of it, or, it can even be just floating in front of them, all done at night.
As a reference, a crystal prism that Spectrum owns looks like this:
