Hospitalized again, frightened
Monday morning I started hyper-ventilating in the shower before blacking out and collapsing. I was incredibly fortunate my father heard the thud and found me. When I came to I couldn't walk without passing out and was driven to ER of my local hospital.
My doctors believe my small intestines are bleeding and not healing. My blood pressure/levels are all dangerous, so I've been hooked to an IV for blood/saline since being admitted. I've not been allowed to eat anything outside a "clear fluid" diet.
This morning my Doctor introduced the idea of being transferred temporarily to a well-respected hospital. It would be for a procedure involving a pill-camera to narrow in on the bleeding site. The whole thing would take 2-3 days maximum. That was going to be planned and revealed to my family over the next week..-
- But at Noon, a Nurse rushed me to a waiting ambulance with little information and no time to call anyone. After a 5 hour drive I was dropped off.
Now, I am in an unknown city, admitted to a completely different hospital, with no time frame, being ordered/drugged by an unknown doctor, hundreds of kilometers from home/family. The only possessions I brought were my laptop and socks. I've contacted home now but everything is wrong.
I am afraid of going alone into surgery, which all signs are pointing towards.
This week has been scary, but today..
