What finally occurred to me about this place

It has finally dawned upon me that FA is one of the most loathsome, scummy places on the internet. And I'd stop using it, I really would, if it weren't that most of the people's use of the site is out of 100% percent convenience. The total disregard of absolutely everything on this site is just absolutely appalling. The admins do basically fuck all at this point, the title of "administrator" becoming more and more ironic each day. The elitist "pop-fur" sub-community doing the same won-ton bullshit that only European royalty could get away with back in medieval ages. Fuck, even bullshit I've gotten away with on here is absolutely atrocious. If FA were a better place, or did not exist entirely anymore, the perception of furries would be outstandingly better. And this isn't all coming from a vantage of high-moral superiority. It's coming from somebody who has fucked up and who has actively gone out and saw how much shit she could get away with. And I'll tell you, it's far from what should be considered acceptable in this size of a community. This sort of fraternal house, "It's not me, I don't have to give a shit" stuff have to end soon, or this place is going to get worse and worse.
I have not gone looking for trouble, and have not found any.. I stay away from thinks that make me uncomfortable (certain fetishes, prOn, etc) and have managed to not stray out of the light.
I love FA, and all that it has to offer, albeit it does seem to have a "basic" feel to it, it has been a wonderful way for me to meet and connect with friend and furies alike.
I know i am only seeing the bright side of the moon here though, and i shudder to think what lies in the dark edges of FA...

But even here there are those that seek to help the soul, the souls of people no one wants, not even their owners. For a soul, 'tis a terrible thing to waste friend and so many here waste theirs. Should we then wonder why so many strange, so many odd, so many broken gather here?
And I should say, that I enjoy the camaraderie here, the fact that few will shoot me down and the accepting nature of this place means that when I do run into the odd crossed soul on FA, I may simply ignore them.
I wonder if you might dig a bit deeper friend and find that the anonymous nature of the internet lets many simply ignore the more... angry in nature among us. You may perhaps find that we don't "take crap" we simply ignore it. It's not hard for us to not take offence, for many of us don't base our value on what others think of us. So when someone behaves poorly, we ignore it for the tantrum it is. "This too shall pass" is a mantra worth singing. Something to think about.
I do hope someone does not delete my comments, though this would not be the first time. It seems another thing about this website is that many are angry and not at peace with themselves. They seek therefore to control others that point out their anger by silencing them- an all too human a foible that I have had to deal with in myself.
On the contrary, I find this website to be a fascinating picture of humanity. Humanity in its weakness and its strengths.
