Actually what your best course of action should be is to say nothing and not acknowledge this at all.

I tried that, and since then things have only gotten worse. People's only real source of information, if not for my interjection, are various drama articles and repositories that take great entertainment in seeing a popular figure encounter as much torment as possible. I can't sit in silence forever, not anymore.

Okay. then handle it, but be clear, Concise and short. The other thing you will need to do is to also address your credentials and skills about the back end, because that's coming up as well. Let people know exactly what you can do. Write this all out in Word or Notepad, and spend a day or so working on the wording to make it perfect, do not compose it in the reply window. But after this, do not respond any more, and let the hubbub die off. For the most part it's gone now, and fallen off my inbox. If anything you want to avoid an Andrew Breitbart situation where information dribbles out every few days keeping the issues fresh on people's minds. Say youre piece, and be done with it.

The way I see it, until/unless there are charges and some sort of public record, it's all just hearsay, speculation, and Internet frenzy based on assumption and rumor. Unfortunately for most, the Internet largely doesn't care about truth. Is that part fair? No. Whether there is any validity to the claims or not I've no idea, but I'm not going to let others tell me what to think.
