Projects, commission opportunities, and random thoughts

First, the snow storm that paralyzed the American Southeast... As a Pennsylvanian man, a joke from me about Atlanta freaking out over two inches of snow is probably mandatory though to be fair... Massachusetts beats the crap out of PA for snow removal (a foot of snow and still hardly any school cancellations, yeah they are that good.) Instead, I'll post an observation I made previously.
For those who write this sort of thing, this is an interesting demonstration of how a supervillain with a weather machine can successfully paralyze one region while be completely ineffective in another. A proper New England blizzard could cripple a city in California, Texas, or the Carolinas yet be completely ineffective in Northern cities. Even if the attempt was made out of season (IE: a freak summer blizzard,) if the people had any warning at all then the damage would mostly be limited to plant life. Winter clothing and snow removal equipment would be pulled out of storage (with probably no small amount of grumbling) but normality would probably be restored in a few days. In places where parkas and snow plows are normally not needed though... I suppose it would depend on how often an attempt was made. If some idiot tried it every few months, I imagine there would be stockpiles of supplies and equipment set aside by both civilians and government officials. Less then once a year though, probably only the paranoid or organizations that cannot/will not shut down for anything (such as hospitals) would keep a stash for such an occasion.
genniidrominda is still short on money and still accepting commissions at the same firesale prices that got me my three sketches. Come on people, I know money's tight for some of us but it's not like she's banging a tin can asking for handouts to go see Justin "Weedhead" Bieber in concert. Fifteen dollars US got me three characters of mine that have been generally never seen before. You can afford five dollars right?

Since I am splitting my time between FA and getting my Weasyl account looking halfway decent, an attempt at a policy on how I plan on doing this. For the moment, I'm going to focus on stuff I specifically made for myself. Stories about Adipose City, Aphrodite City, and my other projects that I wrote for myself will be available on both sites to the best of my ability (that means no deliberate exclusives.) Stuff I made for trades, got in trades, or received as a freebie will generally be limited to whatever site I conducted the deal through, this is mostly because I'm too lazy to track down every artist I dealt with and ask them if I can post their stuff over half of the Internet.
Finally, projects I am doing or have bouncing around in my head for Adipose City:
- Rebecca Stone's Day Off: Exactly what it says on the tin, we follow Cherry Pop after the events of "The Hunt Begins" and see some of the things she and Adipose City does for fun.
- Adipose-Munich Run, part 2: Haven't even outlined this yet but I haven't forgotten about it either. The rotund cyberpunk racers of Adipose City still have the tunnels of the Trans-Atlantic speedway and the post-Peak European countryside to contend with before reaching the finish line at the independent city-state of Munich (yes, I'm going to update the outline to include a description of Germany in the Aristo-Italiana border wars.)
- Internal Affairs/Public Relations (working title): More of an idea then anything, but I started outlining a plot for a short story focusing on Al Ain. An Al Ain caravan is a great place to hide a criminal enterprise or a PEC cell; always on the move, always crossing the borders of more static corporations, and always going through conflicted territories under a flag of general neutrality. There's just one problem, the Al Ain do not take kindly to people who mar their good name to run contraband or sow terror along their routes...
- You Can Never Go Home Again (working title): A bit of a switch for the setting, a story revolving around the PhysEd Consortium. Here we follow Erik as he returns home to the company headquarters in Iceland. Here we see how PEC's people live and work when they're not causing havoc around the rest of the world, see what their cities look like and how their people relax and play. We also go into how and why Erik joined his corp, his opinion of them now, the identity of his mysterious friend, and the guilty secret that ties him to Rebecca Stone and Hilda the Aristo agent. And as if it isn't obvious or predictable already, we learn who his mysterious Australian friend is.
