ArtPrize 2014 And A Special Opportunity

ArtPrize: September 24- October 12, 2014
A new year, a new set of dates to remember for ArtPrize. This year ArtPrize will take place from September 24th- October 12th, 2014. Venue Registration opens on March 10th, Artist Registration starts on April 21st, and the yearly ArtPrize Furmeet will happen Sept. 27th-28th, the first weekend of ArtPrize (as per usual).
However, this year I'd like to spearhead something a little different. For the past couple years, many people have asked us "Are you guys part of ArtPrize?", thinking we were part of an exhibit. This year, I want us to be able to say "Yes" and actually enter ArtPrize. I've been toying with the idea for some time, and if we have enough people interested and able to commit, we can make it happen.
The tentative name for the piece is "Come Dream With Us" (a title I stole from Granite Wolf's FCN '13 video). It'll be comprised of three parts: a large 2D picture, a special video edited for ArtPrize, and at least one fursuiter performing for the crowd in the evenings each day of ArtPrize. Expenses would be covered through an Indiegogo campaign, and any prize money won would be donated to charity (winning the public vote prize of $200,000 would make it one of the largest non-convention donations in the fandom).
