Didn't get much response in my last journal, so I'm gonna try again. This time with less joking around.

2 people I've contacted about being in my hotel room decided not to stay with us due to the fact it's not the main hotel. I respect their decisions, but I'm still left with the predicament of filling 2 spots for the room.

I can't afford $157 for the weekend. That's what the price would be with 3 people, as it currently is. I also think that price will put the others in a bind and make it take a lot longer for them to pay me their share.

With 5 people, as it was supposed to be, that's $94 a person. It's a much lower price than the same number of people in a room in the main hotel ($100/night vs. $139/night, plus tax). That's much more reasonable to me.

The hotel is not that inconvenient, I don't think. If you've walked down the street to get a bite to eat, you can walk across the street like one block to get to the hotel room, any time you need to. You DON'T have to wait 30 minutes for an elevator or hike up mountains of stairs. In fact, you may even be able to reach our room from the main hotel FASTER than if your hotel room were on the 70th floor or something (just a guess).

Point is, yes, there is a slight inconvenience about not being in the main hotel because you have to leave the protective bubble of the con space to get to your room. I understand some people's weariness about this, but in my opinion I still think this room is a sweet deal. It's no worse than rooming in the Omni for AC (in fact it's probably better).

So if you or someone you know is still needing space for FWA, please consider this offer. If I can get two people in the room, it's $94 each. We are very easy going roommates. No smoking, drinking is ok but no parties in room. However, warming up for a night of partying is perfectly fine. :3

I've also considered selling the room off to someone and finding a space in someone else's room myself. The hotel charged my card and it's non-refundable, so there is absolutely no way I can cancel, not even with a fee. So either I find people for the room or someone offers to buy the room for the weekend. Either way.

Please contact as soon as possible, and spread the word if you may know someone still looking.
