[COMMISH UPDATE/EMERGENCY COMMISSIONS] Butt icons are a must
11 years ago
Hello everyone.
For anyone that has been awaiting any updates on the progress of their commissions, do not worry. They are still in the works. There was an issue regarding a massive drop of my grades that I had to take full responsibility for. Therefore, I've had to narrow down my art schedule to weekends only, just until there is a moderate sign of progress. I apologize if this causes any inconveniences.
...however.
It seems that a commissioner thought it was okay to issue a chargeback on a comic that they paid for to be featured in a collaborative art book, just because I told them that I'd only be able to draw on the weekends for a while.
This client (that I will not name publicly) told me that I had until May 1st to complete it, and I was already half done. But due to a vital misunderstanding, they went ahead and did the chargeback without telling me first.
So yeah. Now I'm stuck with -$400.00 in my paypal account.
Now before I continue this journal, I just want to point out that
I AM NOT. LETTING MY COMMISSIONS. PILE UP.
NOPE.
This is just to inform you all that butt icons will most likely be focused on more than my current projects. But they will not be overshadowed. Everyone is entitled to their expectations, especially when it comes to what they paid for.
So.
I will now be selling $20 butt icons, fully colored.
It's $20 because since I'm only drawing the rears of the characters, I'm issuing a 75% discount from the normal base price of a fully colored commission ($80)

The initial goal for this butt icon drive is $400 (so I can at least get back to $0), but if they start to gain popularity, then I shall continue them!
But again, not letting them overshadow my current commissions.
Please spread the word if you can!

You will still be getting your commission.
Though I agree with what another said about Artist Beware. You have a life If they weren't okay with waiting, they could have just cancelled the commission.
Honestly I'd cancel their commission, salvage what you can of it and refuse to do business with them in the future.
