Thewhole Mighty No 9 thing. and how good it is for Megaman.

Edit on 9/2/2013 - Now that Mighty No. 9 has met its initial goal, I want to add to the point that I initially made in this journal.
Capcom does not use Kickstarter. If Capcom did use Kickstarter, it would only make them seem greedy, as people's public perception of them is that they have the money to make games but just do not wish to.
What's my point with that statement?
They don't use Kickstarter to fund games, so Capcom isn't going to care about a small amount of people spending a large amount of money on their passion.
Until Mighty No. 9 is out and its sales charts are public, as far as this Kickstarter is concerned, I have a feeling Capcom will care more about the number of actual backers than the overall amount it makes. Especially the amount of people pledging 20-60 dollars or more, seeing as 20 to 60 dollars is the price range that games sell at.
In today's game industry, something can sell a million copies and still be considered a mediocre success AT BEST. At the time of this update, Mighty No. 9 has a little under 18,000 backers.
THAT IS NOWHERE NEAR ENOUGH.
So...
SPREAD THE WORD.
Get as many people to pledge to this as possible, show Capcom that the Mega Man community isn't JUST a small but dedicated fanbase, but a large group of people that are capable of driving up sales numbers to the same levels as games like Street Fighter.
Do that, and it will show Capcom that Mega Man is a brand that can make them real money if they put fourth the effort, and not just a niche one not worth truly investing in.
((That was an interesting point he made what do you guys think?))

Honestly I don't know what to think I haven't played it yet
No it wont, there have been multiple chances, and Capcom as time and time again neglected that interest and even once said "Fans should have made Mega Man Legends 3!"
If I remember right, after the funding was complete they took Mighty No 9 to Capcom and asked them to publish it where Capcom declined.
Capcom made a new Mega Man game anyway, it was on the Iphone and X had a fur coat.
Capcom could care less about Mega Man fans and have proven as much by mocking them at every turn, they know their money maker is Monster Hunter and Resident Evil, everything else is just side projects that drain their funding like DmC reboot.
(They even tried a Mega Man Reboot and scrapped it)
I am really tired :<.
If ya don't know what that is... here's a video.
