It's a Boomer The Dog DOUBLE SHOT *music stinger* (LJ)

Boomer is doing the unthinkable appearing on national television twice in two weeks. This time to the house frau set. Boom's gonna be on Dr. Phil on Tuesday. Check local listings, but I've heard they've run promos for it.
I new he was going on Tosh, and then Dr. Phil but he was worried that Dr. Phil would be before Tosh. All in all, it worked out. Tosh was very funny and very well crafted. Dr. Phil is slotting in our little doggy in between shows like "My Mom is a drug addict Yankee's fan who sleeps with a Jeter real doll" and "My uncle and my sister are in love with Mayor McCheese."
Ahh, but what is amusing is the hellish reign of the furries thumping bits over Boom's head. Most of the peeps that are saying bad things have WONDERFUL FA profiles and it makes me wonder...
I tried to talk some sense into the masses, but it was like the fights on ALF. Of course, back then when I woofed something, the talkback in the thread would cease. Ahhh, but this is the MEMEMME! I..I..I... generation. "You're bringing all hell down us looking like a freak, what would my mom say if they knew I liked herm diapered fat vixens in bondage"
So, hate the Phil hatchet job, but be aware. Boom is one tough milkbone and held his own more than I can woof. Remember kids, he just wants to be a dog. If he tells the world, and they don't believe, like Ghoulardi said "The hip people are going to see."

Seriously, we're grey as greymuzzles go. Other than the mandatory freak out and overreaction that happens EACH and EVERY SINGLE MEDIA APPEARANCE, there will be limited, if any lasting effects outside the fandom.
I cringed a bit when I heard Boom is going on Doc Phil. Definitely not someone I would've viewed as a good move, but eh, I've been through 16 years of stuff. Nothing will change. It will suck that the overreaction will cause Boom to sit a few cons out, i.e. the "Only Doc Conway is allowed to be a media whore" rule.
Besides, there's bigger things to be concerned about. Some older fur that has a stable life that wants to be a sheepdog, I don't have issues with.
As for the media appearances, anything to further the cause of being a dog, and that's that. We'll save the drama that happened to get Boom on Dr. Phil on our Doggy Radio show. All I'm saying is "A salmon shirt? Really?" :)
