Smallish creatures, about the size of a large cat. The are widely coveted as pets, known as the mammal equivalent of a fire lizard.
Usually muted in color with bright markings on the wings. The markings are used for attracting mates and confusing enemies, as they have reflective properties. Their usual muted colors helps them hide in trees and brush, flitting about and flashing their wings to try and confuse the senses.
Both male and female Meemers share the bright colorings and dance together in mating dances. A Female has up to two offspring at a the time. An infant's wings will not fully form until around 9-10 months old. The average life span of a Meemer is around 6 years.
Meemers prefer living in the trees, but some have been known to use abandoned ground burrows.
