Theme-wise, I've been kind of hooked on Alfons Mucha/Art Nouveau styling lately, so pretty things, filmy dresses, pastel colors, nature-y stuff is all cool, see the second link I posted. =) Alternatively, I'm also a Star Wars nut, and when I draw Zannah as a Jedi, she looks like this or like this.

He's kind of a barbaric sort, rough and suspicious and fierce; he was originally kind of a Sassanid Persian cavalryman(wolf?), though a general 'Medieval East/Islam' feel can work for him too.

Kinne is really close to nature, using her magic to make things herself instead of using man-made things. Also, her fur covers her non-G rated parts, but a generic kimono would be fine if that doesn't work for you

An Asian theme, like the scenes in Chinese wall scrolls. For the exact pose I'm thinking either her sitting by a koi pond or swimming with them, or having her standing by a spirit shrine holding a red lantern on a pole with misty mountains and bamboo in the background, with her wings swept open like she's protecting the shrine. Ai-Zen is very regal and graceful and loves nature and spirits.

Since Pistachio is a giant, I'd like to go with a Medieval theme, maybe something close to the setting of Redwall. The background could include a bit of tiny forest and maybe part of a tiny building, like a castle or such. Perhaps sunny and possibly a little realistic, though cartoony is A-OK with me as well.

Basically, she's a non-metallic bronze in color, her head shape is supposed to be basically equine, and the arm scales, hooves, and horns/spines are gold. The left wing is some flavor of demonic/fallen angel design; distinct from just a black feathered wing but beyond that I usually leave it up to interpretation.
Personality:
Katla is a dual personality in concept; her right side is the most judgmental interpretation of angel (snooty, aloof, judgmental, etc), while her left is a dominant seductress type demon/devil personality. I generally prefer her depicted from her left side (predatory smirk optional ), since that's the side of her I use most. Clothing-wise, her left side would probably be in light-colored business attire of some description, while her right is more likely to be found in black or scarlet leather/vinyl, corsets, catsuits, that sort of thing. Don't push your comfort zone for my sake!
If you can think of a distinctive game/movie/anime character that fits the general archetype I've described above, cosplaying as that would be absolutely fine, as well. (I could even see having her cosplay as... pretty much any female Disney villain. Most of them seem to fit more or less into that mold.)
Badge type:
Standard without background, ATC, or shaped without background would be great. I don't think Katla lends herself all that well to backgrounds since she's simultaneously so little of a character in her own right and too much of one to just have my interests applied to her.
