HAPPY CHRISTIANIZED HOLIDAY
Easter was not always about Christ
In fact it isn't supposed to be about Christ at all
Originally, today was supposed to honor the Egyptian goddess, Ishtar (pronounced Easter), who was the goddess of sex and fertility. Her symbols were eggs and the hare (sound familiar? What do eggs and bunnies gave to do with god I mean really.). Ancients would give her offerings hoping for sexual pleasure and children. When parts of the Ottoman empire were taken by Christians, namely Istanbul (changed to Constantinople by Emperor Constantine), the holiday was changed to honor the sacrifice and resurrection of Christ.
Last year I celebrated Easter by losing my virginity to my girlfriend at the time. We thought it was heresy when it turns out it was actually celebrating correctly. Who knew?
I feel like I'll make a YouTube video about this later if I get the chance, excluding the detail about my sex life. If my mom sees it I don't need her knowing I'm not as innocent as she hopes I am.
