Someone broke into my home
I am angry.
They took my Ipod the the first 20 dvds on my self. They went into my daughters room and took her new laptop and hair straightener.
Damn them! Those were the things a scrimped and saved for her for six months and they took them and it's not fair.
I hate them.. I really hate them.
They broke my little girls heart and I want them to die, I don't care if their old or young, I want them to die.
I just needed to vent.

It's good to vent, though, and it's good to have people to listen.
Insurance.
PROSECUTE!
..good luck - I'm, with you on this one / being all kindsa pissed off.
Insurance, I can't afford to have my rates go up.
Prosecute, with a vengence!
IGNATS!
An odd thing really - it seems such people lack basic empathy, they fail to understand that while things in themselves aren't really important, it's the stealing itself that stings.
That anyone would pilfer anybody else's property is beyond me, I like to think that it's desperation that leads to such acts, but that doesn't excuse it one jot.
I know how it feels, and you have my sympathies.
Here's hoping you put some beaconing software on your laptop.
Being able to have your laptop phone home guarantees that you'll catch the criminal (or at least the person the criminal sold it to).
But I'll stop spouting security babble. Not even the UK government takes the necessary precautions to avoid laptops with sensitive unencrypted data from being stolen out of the back seats of cars.
so sorry to hear bout this~

If I were you, I'd look into figuring out how they got in, and take measures to correct that. Ever see the TV show "To Catch a Thief" on Discovery?
You may not be able to afford all the gizmos they arm the house with on that show, but you at least get some very useful pointers.

i hope the cops find them an your stuff
Anyway, if there's any DVDS you need replaced, let me know...I'll see what we can match up with collections.
Whether they are old or young, for hurting a child intentionally or not, they should have some sort of backlash come their way.
Probobly a bunch of druggies who needed their OD fix.
I hope you'll never have to face something like that again...
Also, thank the failing economy for a rise in crime rate like this. I would suggest that you have a police report filed, then check out any pawn shops in the area and see if they have received any items. Its worth a shot. Best of luck and I hope you can get something back.
Be sure that I sic my girls at them to make them die messily and painfully *hugs tightly*
To be serious, I hope those asshole(s) get caught and brought to justice.
But it is good that you and your family are all save and secure. *hugs* if you need my ear, you know how to find me.
Here's hoping they are found and caught and you get your stuff back. Having been the victim of a similar thing (well, twice actually), I know the rage you are going through! What really snarks me is if you went round to their place and started nicking their stuff, they'd feel aggreived!

If you have time and the like, hit up the local Pawn Shops, you might find your stuff, and can alert the Police to their current location. Pawn Shops are required, by law, to keep records of who pawned them stuff for this very reason.
Just depends on how "Law Abiding" the Pawn Shop is.
Ah well... at the end of the day, they're just things. The important things, your daughter's life, your life, your girlfriend's life, are all intact... things can be purchased again. Lives are much too sacred.
