May Events planned for RI (and beyond)

It's time to announce a list of events currently planned to take place this month. I'll make this quick, but full journals will come as the dates for these events get closer.
* RHODE ISLAND FURBOWL 26 - Saturday, May 10, 7 p.m., East Providence Lanes, East Providence

Our 26th furbowl is taking place at East Providence Lanes, as it usually does. There will be a post-bowl dinner. Details are in the link and please RSVP.
* RESTAURANT MEET - Friday, May 16, 8 p.m., Newport Creamery, Garden City Center, Cranston
This restaurant meet will be at the Newport Creamery in the Garden City shopping plaza, the same place we used to eat dinner when the RI Furbowl was held in Cranston. Please note this is a FRIDAY night. We shall meet up at the giant gazebo nearby and then come in to eat at about 8:30.
* MOVIE MEET: (Godzilla) - Saturday, May 17, 5 p.m., Showcase Cinemas, Providence Place Mall, Providence
I know that I cancelled the movie meets due to a lack of interest, but Godzilla is such an anticipated movie and with the summer blockbusters coming, I'm going to try to hold another movie meet to see if this can be revived. This movie meet will take place on a Saturday afternoon at 5 p.m. at Providence Place Mall. Movie ticket prices are $10.50. Parking in the mall's garage is $2 for the first five hours, $10 for five to eight hours. Post-movie plans are up in the air.
* CHARITY BOWLING EVENT - Tuesday, May 20, 7 p.m., East Providence Lanes, East Providence (in negotiations)

This a bowling event to benefit a local charity at the same bowling alley we already go to. This is a tentative event because I have yet to talk to the organizers (the Pawtucket Red Sox) to see if our fursuits (3 or 4 at the most, IMO) will be allowed. Please keep this in mind, and notice that this is being held on a Tuesday night. If anything develops, I will let everyone know ASAP. Since this is a charity event, I would recommend that you bring some money to donate to The Tomorrow Fund.
* MEMORIAL DAY PARK MEET - Monday, May 26, 1 p.m., Roger Williams Park, Providence
This will be a furmeet at Roger Williams Park on Memorial Day. The meeting spot will be at the carousel, NOT the zoo. Details will be handled later, but there should be things to do there.
I have not yet come up with an event for the last weekend of May, but there are many possibilities.
Also, there are plenty of events taking place around New England this month, as given in this link from

The furmeet at Roger Williams sounds awesome though! I haven't been there in almost 20 years now, lol.
I work from 4-8 so we'd be a little late but It should be fine !
