I modified this old Journal to use it to store ideas for future commissions. It is a continuation of this older Journal: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/5042941/ and this was current as of 9/28/16.
Ideas for drawings of Auric:
This rather long list of pose/drawing ideas provides lots of choices for artists who'd prefer artistic freedom or would like to pick something they'd like to draw, so I can just provide a link to this list and say "pick something you'd like to do". The ideas intentionally vary in the amount of detail, some are well developed and specified and others are little more than a few key words. The numbers are just for short term reference, I re-order and re-number them periodically. I'm trying to keep this section up to date (updated 4/29/16).
Key:

R8) Auric head shape tutorial/refsheet: Once I figure out the head shape that I like for Auric, I should have a specific refsheet just for that.
Studies/Projects:
S1) Jackal busts: a drawing with three busts in a row, 1) Anubis style jackal , 2) Auric (or another Semi-Anubian style jackal) , 3) realistic style golden jackal. This is to help show the differences between Anubian stylized jackals and realistic ones in an artist's own style; this is intended to be helpful to both the artist and me. I'd be happy to have a version of this general idea done by each artist who's drawn Auric (I'd be happy to have more of this meme). A variation would be to have more than one example of each type (stacked vertically). A larger project version would be to get a group of FA jackals together for a big picture with multiple busts sorted by Anubian, Semi-Anubian, and Realistic. S2) Canid busts: A set of busts of different canids, such as Wolf, Coyote, Anubian Jackal, Black-Backed Jackal, Golden Jackal, Red Fox, Fennec Fox, Maned Wolf, Dingo, African Painted Dog, etc. (artist's choice of how many and which ones but should include at least one jackal). The main point of the drawing is to show how to differentiate between the different types of canids by their head and ear size/shape. S5) Wing tutorial: professor Auric lectures about how wings work. This is for an artist who understands wings to draw their own tutorial in the form of a commission featuring Auric. It would probably be a small series of drawings.

Notes: Most of the art I have of Auric is single character. Involving another character would likely require considering how the characters should be interacting such that none are out of character.

G2) Group Meditation - meditation scenes are often solo but could easily be a group, this is a fairly 'safe' group scene since the characters don't need to interact.

9a) Aureus idea: hood of car pinup , but done with a chariot
The following 2 sections didn't fit in my first big Journal of commission ideas and notes:
Backgrounds:
Notes: I find backgrounds complicated to adequately describe with text. For landscapes there is geography, type and amount of vegetation, season, weather, time of day, lighting, etc. For any structures or sentient-made objects there is materials and styles, which often indicate time period and culture. A background can easily 'place' the picture in both geographic location and time period. In general I try to keep backgrounds at least somewhat generic, unless they are intended to show a specific cultural setting, so I tend towards landscapes and primitive/rustic structures. Many people associate jackals with sandy deserts but the golden (or Asiatic) jackal has a very large range that goes from North Africa to China and lives at elevations up to 2000m (6000 feet). The climate/terrain in Auric's preferred home setting would normally be high desert (high plains), canyons, or semi-arid foothills/mountains, so for landscape examples from the USA, think of the 'four corners' states of New Mexico, Arizona, Utah, and Colorado, like Arizona's Grand Canyon, Utah's Zion or Bryce, or much of central and northern New Mexico. A small cliff dwelling would be an appropriate building setting.

For a digital piece it should obviously be in a separate layer so that it is easy to change or swap. Even abstract patterns can give a cultural 'feel' to a piece, and can give it additional mood or emotion.
--Abstract ideas: Sun, light, air, wind
B6) Elemental theme: For any sort of 'elemental' theme, Auric's 'elements' would be light (fire) and air, probably with light on top and air on the bottom; perhaps an abstract feel of floating or flying with the clouds below and the sun or stars above.

Humor:

H1) "Ye Olde Gryphon Club" - this is a complex multiple character idea, though a simple version could be done as a single character sketch (ask for more details). The basic idea is: I don't know how well canine gryphons are received as gryphons. I have a humorous mental picture of an outside view of the front of a building that has a sign on the front (or above the door) that reads something like "Ye Olde Gryphon Club" with a small sign on/near the door that reads "No dogs allowed." (perhaps with a few canine gryphons standing around out in the cold or near a doghouse).

Backgrounds:
Notes: I find backgrounds complicated to adequately describe with text. For landscapes there is geography, type and amount of vegetation, season, weather, time of day, lighting, etc. For any structures or sentient-made objects there is materials and styles, which often indicate time period and culture. A background can easily 'place' the picture in both geographic location and time period. In general I try to keep backgrounds at least somewhat generic, unless they are intended to show a specific cultural setting, so I tend towards landscapes and primitive/rustic structures. Many people associate jackals with sandy deserts but the golden (or Asiatic) jackal has a very large range that goes from North Africa to China and lives at elevations up to 2000m (6000 feet). The climate/terrain in Auric's preferred home setting would normally be high desert (high plains), canyons, or semi-arid foothills/mountains, so for landscape examples from the USA, think of the 'four corners' states of New Mexico, Arizona, Utah, and Colorado, like Arizona's Grand Canyon, Utah's Zion or Bryce, or much of central and northern New Mexico. A small cliff dwelling would be an appropriate building setting.

H1) "Ye Olde Gryphon Club" - this is a complex multiple character idea, though a simple version could be done as a single character sketch (ask for more details). The basic idea is: I don't know how well canine gryphons are received as gryphons. I have a humorous mental picture of an outside view of the front of a building that has a sign on the front (or above the door) that reads something like "Ye Olde Gryphon Club" with a small sign on/near the door that reads "No dogs allowed." (perhaps with a few canine gryphons standing around out in the cold or near a doghouse).
