My super amazing fun day doing My Little Pony Stuff

Hope the title of this journal didn't scare you away.
Today has to be one of the funnest I've had in a long time.
I joined a meetup group for bronies (adult fans of My Little Pony, friendship is magic) and today we had the Summer Sun Celebration. It was essentially a picnic with everyone bringing stuff.
The night before, I got a bunch of hamburger group and made them into onion burgers. This morning, I cut up lettuce and tomatoes for it. I got so prepared I forgot what time it started and ended up going an hour later. :-P
When I got there, I was very shy. I kind of hung around my friend there and didn't talk to many people. I started warming up to them and met a lot of nice people.
I cooked hamburgers on a charcoal grill for the first time and after being reassured that I was doing everything right, was happy to learn everyone liked them. It looks like I'm progressing in my cooking skills.
We played a few games there. I watched my friend place MLP trivia, which was fun. Then I played in a "writing with your mouth" contest. We had to write "Princess celestia of equestria" with only our mouths, as they would in the show. It was pretty tough. The guy judging them would make fun of them and we'd all get a laugh. He point out that mine sounded like I was writing to the Russian princess celestia, Lol! Mine actually won first place by one point and I got a 16 figure box set! it was awesome!
Then we had a big water balloon fight. We split into teams and wore colors. My team was called Team Flutterspy and our official pose was the charlies angels pose. We actually managed to win that one, but we just won bragging rights.
After that, I pulled out the MLP playing cards my friend gave me for Christmas and we played MLP poker. I'm usually pretty good, but I lost this time. it was still fun and we bet using fruit slice candies.
Afterwords, everyone kind of left and those of us remaining went to the mall to hang out for a little bit. In conclusion, it was really fun and I got to meet some fun local people. i really look forward to doing stuff with them again.
