First, I begin by saying that Cleo is finally with me. She's upset and frightened. (Ferals don't adapt to change well.) But she's safe. I have a good deal more of my stuff then I had before, but there's still a frightening bunch of crap to move in one day.
I'm also fighting mad. I'm over sixty, with a bad back, and I just moved about 600 lbs of shit by myself. My brother didn't even OFFER to help me. In fact, he complained because I wanted to borrow his truck!
Also, I was supposed to have an hour to pack, but had more like four because Cleo was hiding and I told the landlord that I was willing to stay until I caught her. The landlord was fine with that, but my bosses weren't. They almost demanded that I abandon Cleo and go to work --after loading and unloading 600 lbs of stuff. I have worked extra hours at no pay for these people! I run the place BY MYSELF when they go toddling off on vacation. And their reaction to my current situation is "Well, that's your problem; not ours".
Gee, guys. After four years, it's nice to know how little I mean to you!
Anyway, Webb won't help; Mom can't; and my bosses are jerks, so I'm going to have to hire people to move my furniture. I said I'd let you know when I would be accepting help. Well this is it.
If you can spare a donation, I would be grateful. If you can't --and I understand believe me-- just link me around. Let people know what my situation is. That will be a great help.

may not be true, but that is my current speculation. I will send what I can on my next payday.

I sent a little I hope it helps you find some big burly mens to lift your stuff, so you can give your back a break.
I am their only employee and they live out of state, so if I'm not there, the shop is closed. They're seasonal, so they worry when they're not open. I understand, but I'm a person, too, and I got big problems right now.
I understand that work is work and it's not their fault but still you'd think they could at least be flexible and maybe work the store themselves for a bit.
I wish you luck, and if I can I'll donate a small bit when able.

I know the joys of moving solo, when I had to move, I did 90% myself, I had a couple come over and just sit and yack while I pack, or help a half hour, only until the last day did I get anybody assisting longer than a couple hours, thankfully with the heavy shit.
At times I hate being a avid book reader, it was the bulk of the weight, 6 loads with a Ford F-150 in books alone!!
I wish I could help financially, but my hours have been cut and the damn students rarely if ever tip. Plus a $75 threatened towing fee last week didn't help.

I'm very happy however that you ARE that tigress, that you're not giving up without a fight, and you're at least trying to make a smooth transition to a new path.
You mean a lot to a lot of people here. *hugs* I think I can safely say, we're all so proud of you for fighting like you have. It might not be "home" just yet, but you're with family still, and you have your beloved pets, and that's a wonderful start. *^^*

University Benefits, I keep my Service time so I still collect Vacation and Sick at the rate I had with the TV station and keep my 700+ sick leave hours.
Have to rebuild my vacation pool, and after 2 years the per hour rates jumps in pay scale. But already 5 days in I can tell this will be a LOONNG two years.
And what's a "clean commission"? You mean like not porn?
I tried both as a gift and as a payment for goods and services...neither went thru.
I don't know what to do about this.
I have sent you money before when I bought a piece of art from you, and that went thru just fine.

Frist and foremost I am very sorry to hear what is going on to you. I am very glad that you got you fellow felines out of the home pity it took two tries to do that. I am also glad that you have more of your stuff that you hold dear to you.
I would send a little greenbacks your way but I recently found out that in 60 days I'll be losing nearly $200 out of my VA Disability payment due to what I believe was rule changes to make it harder for Vets to receive disability pay. But I am going to fight tooth and claw for that money as i depend on it for my living right now since I can not seam to get a job.
I do wish you the best of luck and If I would be able to I'd come and help move.
