We've hit the big 3-0! That's thirty straight months of furbowls. Interestingly, we are averaging around thirty attendees per furbowl right now. I wasn't planning on doing anything special for this, but there's still time for me to do something.

Last time, we had a park meet before the furbowl and it was very successful, so we're doing it again. There will be a park meet to be held at 4 p.m. at Slater Park. It's a chance to meet and greet fellow furs and possibly fursuit before we head to the bowling alley. This is an optional event, and you don't have to go to the park first. Rhode Island Furbowl 30 will be held on Saturday, September 13 at 7 p.m. at East Providence Lanes at 80 Newport Avenue, East Providence, RI. (MAP IS HERE)

The cost for bowling is $10 per person. I will collect your money during the event and use it to pay the staff. If you are using a debit card to pay, please bring that to my attention so we can handle that at the front desk.

Please RSVP on this journal. The definition of RSVP means you must say whether or not you plan to attend. It does not mean respond only if you're coming, and it does not mean respond only if you're not coming. While I don't need a head count for the bowling alley, I would appreciate it if I knew who is coming and who is not coming. I always have five or six people who say they are going to the furbowl and then thirty people show up. On the other hand, I host other events where no one shows up because people are not telling me that they can't come.

For the photo shoot which will take place at 9 p.m., I would like to get both the humans and the fursuits together in a picture for a full group shot.

Everything seems to be going well with everyone showing up and interacting appropriately. I still want to take the precaution by stating this again: If anyone makes you feel uncomfortable at any meet or if you see something not quite right that would be in violation of the Code of Conduct, please contact myself or  sanguisvarga that night. We want to address any issues right then and there. Do not wait until after everyone has left.

For the post-furbowl dinner, we've been to the 99 Restaurant three times in a row. As I intended for a while back, we're going to switch it up and go somewhere else. I'm calling for us to head to the IHOP at 383 Washington St, Attleboro, MA. It's easy to get to and is about ten to fifteen minutes away. As you leave the shopping plaza, take a right to head north for about five miles and then turn onto Route 1 South by going around a CVS Pharmacy at an intersection. Ears, tails, collars and fursuits are welcome. A room will be provided as changing space and a break area for fursuiters. Please be aware that this is taking place at the same time as Cosmic Bowling when the lights are dimmed and loud music is being played.

There is a bar at the alley and all standard Rhode Island alcohol consumption laws are in effect. Underage drinking is not allowed and do not buy drinks for those who are underage. If you do drink, please do so in moderation.
