Meaning "Skyfall" is our winner by almost a landslide! Though the fact that "Dragon Yakuza" was the runner up gives me want to do something with that setting later. Until then, though, let's focus on here.

Skyfall is a setting with branching storylines that has been in my mind for a long time (as has the name, meaning the setting was named this long before the James Bond movie came to be), yet for whatever reason every time I pick it up again, the meaning of how and why the world works is always changing. The only noteworthy details that remain constant is that a) Chickens and other farm animals are the most predominant protagonist despite there being other birds ("Skyfall", in fact, was named after the story of Chicken Little) and b) it's a fairly modern-ish, very Earth-like world.

The latest incarnation of the Skyfall "origin" comes in the form of a legend where a rooster awoke the Sun too early to complain about how terribly humans have been treating them. Things suddenly escalated when more and more birds began to complain to the sun about how terrible humans were, to the point that the Sun gave them an offer: "If you believe you can do better than Man, I will make it so that you are free from their toxic presence. However, in order for this to happen, you must give up your most precious gift of all."

And so reality was shifted, giving the birds the intellect and bodies of humans while, in turn, robbing them of their ability to fly, as well as curse them by also giving the body and intellect to a few of their worst land-born enemies. And because it was the Rooster the one who did this, other birds now look to these birds either with contempt or with hope, as some say that were a rooster to find the True Song for awakening the Sun so they can plead to it to have a chance to speak to the Sun again to lift their curse.

But those are just legends and this is a modern world with more down-to-Earth conflicts, such as the search for a rooster who knows the True Song has taken the form of an annual music competition a la Eurovision where Roosters and their bandmates from all over the globe can come to try their luck at getting themselves heard.

For the purpose of this Original Character, we'll be focusing on making a character who wants to participate in this, either as a Rooster singer (though word has it this year they're altaring the rules to allow Hens to be lead singers for this!) or another type of bird that wants to be a part of of this, such as staff or a bandmade.

To better narrow down our choices to better give us an idea what we're making, we're going to cheat a bit using Wikipedia, starting with choosing which location that bird (rooster or otherwise) is going to be from (note this won't determine where the CHARACTER will be from, though it might influence things):
