D'aww I'm very sorry to hear that Sammy I know how that feels. I too am single as well. I've been single for quite a while. Just don't give up yet, but right now enjoy the single life until someone that you can really connect comes into your life. Just work on finishing your college then possible after that try again.

Long distance is super rough =( I've tried a few and they just didn't ever go well at all =( Sorry to hear yours too went south. But don't let it get you down [or turn you away from guys!] Do what ya said, focus on yourself and do your thing. I know long distance all to well and from my experience if you're not the one to go get them, visit them or spend money on them they tend to move on and this is coming from a guy discussing dating guys :v
Either that or when something critical happens it'll get thrown around 3 fold AND someone does have to consider moving to the other side and it can be difficult to work out a future D:!

Either they can be right for you or they can go away, because you deserve better than to try and meet THEIR standards, and not have your met.

I'm sorry things did not work out. Long distance relationships are indeed difficult at best, and more times than not, they do not work out. I hope you'll take time to focus on taking care of yourself and treating yourself to the good things in life. Focusing on college is a very good investment of your time and effort. Who knows? You just might meet someone along the way. Love is often found when one is not looking for it. It's far better to be single than be with the wrong person. I'm wishing the best for you in the days to come.

If it weren't for the fact that I too am not interested in a relationship atm (I want to be around people and love/feel loved by people but not looking for something serious yet) I'd say don't give up, but then there's nothing wrong with needing some time before getting back on the horse so to speak.

I can empathize with what you're going through. We all want to belong with (not to) someone, and become desperate enough to settle for the first one that comes along. Unfortunately that blinds us from seeing what we should be seeing, and end up getting burned.
I never thought I would be in the position to be looking for a new partner for the life journey ahead of me. As you know, Cancer changed that for me, and so here I am.
Everyone tells me to stop looking, that the right person will find me, but to keep on trying and not give up. I have no idea what that means. I can say I've had my fur singed a couple of times since I "officially" re-entered the dating scene. It's frustrating, depressing and I've even felt used to the point I just want to say screw it.
What I'm trying to let you know is that you're not alone, a lot of us are dealing with similar problems and you have a community of friends who care.
I really do hope to meet you one day. You are a sweet and wonderful person..
