Doing an AMA on FA!
The Rules:
#1 - Leave drama at the door.
#2 - Duck sized horses.
Other than that, pretty much any question is fair game!

Also: 42.
well time to go find a horse coloured duck then and some sewing supplies...
It'll probably grow to be larger than a duck, though.
I had to leave early from the con for my job... but decided to call out of work (sick, cough cough) so I could spend an extra day with her. And everything happened because I decided to call out. The rest just fell into place. =3
But if ABSOLUTELY had to narrow it down to one: Gill Panda.
Squishy is just fun.
My mom's the same way though. We like the cold, we die in the heat. I had a full suit long ago and had a ton of fun in it, and I'd like one again... not sure I'd do a Dragoneer suit though.
You had a fullsuit a while back, huh? That's cool. ^w^ Any pics?
I just wanted to say thanks for what you do, and to keep it up, and don't let the haters get you down. Most people only open their muzzle to complain; I'm going to open mine to say good things. :)
But I'm pretty easy going and really laid back in person, and I generally like having fun. I don't like drama. I really do not.
Will we be able to change our usernames somehow in the future? My lower case R has been nagging me for 8 years!
Hence why my fixes basically modernize FA's currently layout, keeping MOST things the same but without reinventing the wheel.
And
Why a purple Guilmon?
And I'm not a purple Guilmon? I have some Guilmon-like features, but I'm definitely not a Guilmon. =D
Why am I a burd?
Because 9 years ago I decided there weren't enough featherdusters and I came across some awesome art
Cartoonish can be great, and realism can be great, but that middle ground is (to me) where art shines. It follows a set of rules, but bends and breaks them. There's a lot of great ultra-realistic artists out there, and technically I think the work is great, but they lack the whimsical that makes their work have personality.
But what is the weirdest or funniest conspirancy your heard someone came up regarding you or FA?
And the funniest conspiracy I've heard is that I chartered a helicopter to fly me to Anthrocon and had permission from Kage and the hotel to land the chopper on the roof. That and I worked at 7-11 and drove a Ferrari (or was it a Porsche?).
As far as FA goes, a lot of people love using those website value estimators and go "FA's worth $5 million?!!? WHERE IS ALL THE MONEY GOING!"
They seem to think an estimator = how much the site is worth = how much I actually have in my bank account. My bank account's actually in a sad state.
Sounds like some people think you're rich haha. I suspect that those sites giving those estimates assumes average adsense revenue stream or something, which you cannot have on a site with explicit content. ;) And a bit of bullshit estimation of course.
The part of vore?
Dehydrated shrimp kind of scare me. Plus they're also like... what, 3 pixels big?
Also, is there a plan to have a page featuring ads on FA? It would be nice to browse through all of them without having to refresh the page over and over. :p
And we had a page featuring all the ads. It's actually quite headache inducing.
What is your favorite fast food restaurant?
What meme do you wish would die off the most?
How do I shot web?
2) Bad Luck Brian.
3) Bad Luck Brian tried to shot web. Once. He shot himself in the face.
OH GOD YES! Get rid of him! Kill it with fire! D:
Any chance to put a feature that notifies you whenever someone mentions you in a submission/journal/shout/comment etc?
*I put 'soandso'icon and it linked to an actual page. . who knew.
I'm hoping by the end of the month. I'd intended to have it ready by the end of Summer, but that's creeping up and it's not quite ready yet. I've had a few life issues that have caught up with me, but it's coming along and is almost ready.
I've had to redo a few pages several times because I've learned much in the way of efficiency, and have been able to reduce some template file sizes by up to 75%. It's not too far off, but we also have a few fixes to implement to it, too.
My test site doesn't work with uploading so I can't test upload pages until we get that fixed.
The closest terms available for those who financially support artists is "Art Whore" and that's not exactly a positive term to use.
Just draw and enjoy drawing without comparing yourself to other people. It's really easy to look at art and go "Well, I'll never be as good as Blotch, why fucking bother..." and get ultra emo over it. It happens to me, it happens to just about everybody.
We all have artists we look up to and aspire towards, but comparing your art to others can be a emotional mind trap. You can still learn a lot from them, but when you start comparing yourselves to really great artists, it's insanely easy to become discouraged.
Sometimes my inspiration simply dissappears with that.
And Karabiner. I'd kill to get a picture of Dragoneer from him. It'd be the ultimate. <3
Plus there's that whole bio-mechanical aspect which I find nifty.
And on top of that, what was your original vision of FA, and how closely do you feel you've stuck to that vision? What needs to be improved on and what is working just fine, in your opinion?
But, all these years later, we still cater to that and protect is as a valued form of media on the site because that was the original vision. To be an artistic and creative melting pot for all mediums.
And the main thing that needs to be improved upon (despite "eveything") is how FA respects and treats writers. It's currently a joke, and I really want writers to feel at home here. The entire way FA handles writing needs to be redone.
And also, I'm sure you get more than your fair-share of shit from the people on this site, so I just wanted to thank you for all your work on keeping it together.
...
ePub support, please, and ask writers about what they'd love to see in that overhaul. :)
Fun fact: I studied creative writing for several years at University of Maryland as I wanted to be a novelist. So I know well the pain writers suffer on site.
The person as a whole is what appeals to me.
2. Favourite genre of music?
3. You wake up, and you see, that you're herm Murasadramon... First thing, what would you do?
4. How many times you recive stu... i mean meaningless comments/notes? xD
2) I like game music or orchestral. It's a bit more relaxing and I don't risk having to hear really dumb lyrics.
3) Fap. I'll be honest. =D
4) Too often. I hate when people send me notes going "Can I ask a question?". I always want to respond "You just did."
4) Hah! xD Try to stay calm, when someone send you a notes: "When you"ll open again commissions?"
2. Have you watched any anime series? If so, which is your favorite?
2) Cowboy Bebop was my favorite because it had a lot of depth. But I find most anime overrated for what it is.
Cowboy Bebop is great. I want to re-watch it.
And Godzilla roll is my favorite kind of sushi. It's hard to find and every place does it a little different.
And because I'm greedy and asking more...
When is a new banner coming?
And new banner is coming on the 21st.
... Wait a second you didn't say which month.....
Clever. Very clever.
So I'm guessing it wouldn't be compatible with Apple mobile devices?
lol jk
do you have a favorite up and coming artist and where might I find them on FA? =3
Alternatively, what was the most fun you had being an admin on FA?
Why am I a lenght?
Babypowder made of babies?
Hey Dragoneer.
Thank you for the opportunity to research, discover, and reveal truth about simple addition/subtraction math as may be applied to everyday accounting, banking, and tax calculations:
If I trade my positive number asset (such as my labor or art) for a negative number liability (such as a federal reserve bank promissory note) am I left with a positive number or a negative number to enter into the accounting book at the end of the day?
In other words; if I trade my asset for a liability-obligation, that has not been redeemed per the law of said obligation, have I been "paid" or, otherwise, have I received any taxable profit, gain, or "income"?
And if I have not received any positive number income; shouldn't this "WITHHOLDING" be reported in order to obtain a RETURN of the withheld money?
Please forgive me for asking.
And it appears that if any accountant or tax professional answers this simple banking-math question honestly; they would have to quit their job or be fired.

Interesting proposition but the mathematical truth and fact is-
I hold no assets known as 'money'. I only hold liabilities known as 'money'.
And since I am not the originator (who is obligated to redeem his notes) I do not own this either.
I am merely the holder in due course of these "IOU" promissory notes. . .
In fact I do not hold legal title to anything at all.
I only hold mere equitable titles for such things as vehicles, land, buildings and etcetera.
Own nothing; control EVERYTHING!
I only posses a few liabilities in the form of promissory bank notes that have not been redeemed for any money and I challenge any and all accountants and tax professionals to prove otherwise by way of their mathematically verifiable and certified accounting.
The burden of proof is upon them and I see no evidence or record I have ever received any lawful money or other asset (as trade for an asset), since the creation of the juristic person in 1963, and I believe no such evidence or record exists.
If there is a record; it will likely reveal that I am OWED a LOT of lawful money.
A debt that has been growing for nearly 51 years. . .
Kindest regards; the Original Issue Creator and Creditor of the Asset(s) who is OWED, by the debtor, per the law of USC 12-411 and other banking, commercial, laws.

It's a pretty straightforward question regarding the accounting of liabilities versus assets as well as a question of which things actually are a taxable asset versus a non-taxable liability.
And this is not legal advice. I can only speak in terms of what I, personally, MIGHT do in a particular situation or in other, hypothetical, terms and examples.
For example, IF I were to write an "IOU" promise to pay you 10 units in lawful money, this would be my Obligation, or my LIABILITY, to pay you 10 units of lawful money some time in the future.
And, until such time I actually do pay you 10 units of lawful money, this is also your liability.
You are 'holder in due course' of my Obligation to pay you which has not, yet, been paid.
My Obligation to pay has not been settled, discharged, or redeemed until such time you actually do redeem it.
Until such time you redeem the "IOU" note, and have been paid, you do NOT hold an asset. Or do you? You do have CHOICES!
In example, for accounting purposes, you COULD actually decide to call this liability an 'asset' merely based on a possible FUTURE payment or 'income' it represents.
But why would anybody, besides a bank, want to take such a risk with their accounting and pay an income tax on a POSSIBLE future payment?!?
Most of us are not in the 'futures market' or the 'securities exchange' where these promises to pay are traded on the open market such as the trading of promissory notes for mortgages and vehicles.
And there is every possibility I may NEVER pay my Obligation! I could even drop dead at any moment!!
I could even be like the federal corporation (known as "United States") which just keeps writing more and more promissory notes to the point it becomes mathematically IMPOSSIBLE to pay them back per this Law and Obligation. . .
Therefore you would be stuck holding the liability (you already decided to pay a tax on) because you or your accountant decided to label it a profit, gain, or "income".
UNLESS, of course, you can convince somebody else that my credit and promissory note is "good" therefore my liability is MONEY! (Debt is money.)
And you could TRADE my promise to pay (money) for actual assets such as groceries. At which point the grocery store is left HOLDING my Obligation to pay it. . .
And, at which point, you never got paid! You merely traded this liability back OUT to some other sucker who accepted it on his FAITH that he will eventually be paid (Faith based banking.).
To learn more; check out the first links I provided in this thread with regards to what a bank note is, what lawful money is, and what is the Obligation of the United States regarding federal reserve bank promissory notes.

If you use or carry federal reserve bank promissory notes; then the system expects you to actually know how these things work, per modern money mechanics, and ignorance of these laws is no excuse . . .
Free will applies.
Remain ignorant*, keep paying taxes due on somebody else's property (NOTE), and they will you love your generosity and they will not attempt to change your free will choice to remain ignorant and keep paying their taxes for them. . .
*Ignorance is not bad or derogatory. It simply means a lack of knowledge for a particular subject such as what a bank promissory note actually is.
A debt based currency called "Legal Tender" which is NOT the same as Lawful money. Legal tender is not Lawful money therefore Lawful money is "illegal".
That's right! Of course it's illegal!! Why? Because it's LAWFUL!!!

or just hug you O:
Also, what would you add to FA United if you had infinite funds for one single project? For example, every attendee could get a golden batch but for everything else you would have to use the con budget.
And I'd do cookouts all weekend for congoers with an open bar.
That sounds like an amazing idea ^^
I need to ask my accountant if I can afford.
2. what is the strangest request you hav gotten while running the site?
3 what is the silliest thing you have seen sciggles do?
4 finally what would you say is your favorite word(s) for penis and vagina?
2) A request to be GOH at a con. It felt really weird. I turned it down because I didn't feel I was interesting enough to be a GOH.
3) Sciggles talks in.her sleep, and we have some... interesting conversations she never remembers.
But you are rather awesome and if nothing else would be entertaining to see as a goh.
Lol nice I bet they were rather fun convos
Finally awesome I had not heard of moisture missile
as for drama... a duck sized horse, a duck sized horse, my kingdom for a duck sized horse
Also Marshmallows or Fudge?
And marshmallows all the way!
I try not to worry about what people think of me because I can't change their opinion of me. If people don't want to take the time to get to know me or judge me based on my past or a rumor there's little I can do.
Stop to dwell on the issues and they will consume you. Learn from your mistakes and move on and you can focus on life and trying to be a better person.
How much did you charge?
It may sound naïve of me, but I love the fandom so much (even after eight years!) , and I would love for it to be part of my career in the future.
With a few notable exceptions (Con*Tact, BadDragon, and Fursuit Makers) there doesn't seem to be any long term option for employment that's fandom-centric.
It's great to work my tail off every night in a position where I get paid a reasonable wage, then come home to browse FA and the like for a few hours, but having furries at the forefront of what I do 24/7? That would be heaven.
Slightly related note: I read this a while ago: http://www.metroactive.com/papers/m.....work-9949.html
I've since reached out to the author (the now editor of i09 of the Gawker sites), but never received a reply.
Do you know if any large scale furry housing situations still exist?
If you weren't running FA, what would you possibly be doing?
And if I weren't running FA I'd be debt free! That's the sad part of it.
Hahaha, ahhh.. I believe it. :(
1) In notes you get, what is approximately the percent of silly or ones that are basic chat,
compared to actual FA problems?
2) Would you consider a very big dragon, anthro or feral/quad (say no less than 10 feet tall)
a macro or just normal for a dragon?
3) What made you want to start FAU?
2) I'd consider it large. Macro would probably start about 40ft or so with "giant" being somewhere in between.
3) I love hanging out with people, and basically wanted to make a giant get together. =3
Are FA's backups protected from fire, flood or tornado / hurricane?
Is there an emergency restoration plan if the main server site is damaged by such?
Have you changed your smoke detector and Carbon monoxide detector batteries?
http://demons-sinistra.tumblr.com/p.....all-details-to
They're over 260cm tall.
Any advice to an artist looking to improve his craft?
that and the classic "hello. good evening. and REMAIN INDOORS. as ever the time is *looks at contestants* inexcorably slipping away..."
Also, repeating a question I did ask from you in a reply to someone else's question and repeating it agian just because I can: Do you like muscle growth stuff? If answer is yes/maybe/no, why?
And I like muscle growth to a point. Mega muscles or hyper muscles are a not really my thing.
Does this mean that you don't enjoy pecs being smothered to someone's face?! 8U
And pecs are good.
Eeeexcellent, not all hope is lost~ <>.=.<+>
"You are beauuutifull~ No matter whaat they sayyyy!"
Haha, and an easier fun question, what sort of music do you listen to? :] Favorite musicians?
OH AND, would be cool if FA had some sort of an official newsletter/magazine. One that brings awareness to all other artists, WRITERS, etc. Articles on how-tos, a story about a fur or two and their contribution to society, etc etc.
Anyway, aside from that, much thanks to you and the rest of the FA staff. Keep on doing what you love!
I love Muse, Porcupine tree and similar bands. =D
As for Tony Start.... I can see where the similarities are between the two, but we all know actors based on the roles that they play, and not their personal lives. I like the fact that it is showing the condensation of a washed up old actor who can't hold a job. Seems to relate to me a little bit more than I thought. I think the theme that it is trying to show is how f'ed up society has become over the past two decades really. While the anthropomorphic characters drew me in, I ended up relating to the characters a lot.
But hey, thanks for answering. I have to admit that the 54 second introduction to each episode is the story of my every day life.
Bit dark, I know.
