COMMISSION TERMS OF SERVICE AND SUBMISSION INFO~
11 years ago
So you are interested in getting a commission~?
Well, I have some information for you regarding such~
~Terms of Service
*Process——
~~~~
So, there's a certain way I go about doing things, namely, I like to check in with my commissioners. You're spending money on my work, so I like to make sure you're happy with it at each stage~ So, that said, you're pretty likely to have me showing you a concept sketch to confirm poses and positions and all of that~ Then, you will get the linework when it's what I would call done~ After this, should coloring apply, I will check in to make sure the colors I chose and the markings and all of that are good~ and after that, I will generally call the commission done when I finish the shading and highlighting, should it apply to your work~
What does this mean for you?
It means that at each stage I show you, you are welcome to make suggestions for changes that apply to the stage I am on.
This does not mean that you are free to just suggest I do something entirely different after we have agreed on the commission idea. Furthermore, the more you ask for changes, the more I will sort of expect you to know what it is you want changed. Telling me that you just want it to be different is not generally good enough.
Once I am passed a stage, I am going to be very reluctant to make changes to previous stages.
So, if you want the pose to be some kind of different, tell me in the concept sketch stage.
If you have some issue with the linework or the color, tell me -BEFORE- you confirm that the art is good.
If you confirm that you are happy with one stage, I move on to the next stage. Making changes to a stage that I have moved passed generally ends up being a lot of extra, unnecessary work, and I like to avoid these situations. So, look your art over carefully when I show you works in progress, take your time, and let me know what you think. This will keep things running smoothly.
*Style——
~~~~
You may have noticed, most artists have a style that they tend to draw in, and I am no exception. You should pay attention to that style and keep it in mind when forming the idea that you want to see me draw~
I am happy to change the properties of your art, make something more pudgy, make something less fuzzy, shorter, taller, etc etc~
But I have my own style, and I am unlikely to know how to draw in a different style. That's not to say that I am not trying to make my style any better, but what you get from me will be in my own style, and should not be expected to be anything otherwise. I do try my best to make every bit of art I am commissioned for be the best I can make it. I'll try to make all of it something I am proud of, and something you are happy with.
*Will not draw——
~~~~
These are absolute, always -no-
-Any sexual situations involving characters who are under the age of consent for their species, or who may be easily confused for such
-Consumption of body waste
It's a pretty short list of hard no's, this, but you should also know that there are plenty of things I would prefer to avoid drawing, and may decline your commission based on these things. I encourage you to look through my gallery, as all of what is there are things I am generally reasonably happy to draw, and the further you get from the things you can see depicted there, the more likely I am to decline.
In the end, if you have any doubts, ask. I am quite friendly about such things and will give you a polite answer.
*Payment——
~~~~
I deal with payments via Paypal invoice. There are a few reasons that I do this;
It protects both of us from typos, and you accidentally sending money to the wrong person.
It helps me track my income, as well as keeps unneeded information off of the payments.
And it show you exactly what it is you are paying for, in case there was any question.
So, this is the way I do things, and it's really no different from paying otherwise. You just get a notification on paypal, and pay. It's easy.
Further from that, to keep myself honest and motivated, I do not accept payment for normal commission projects before we have confirmed a concept sketch. I do however expect payment generally before I will show you the completed work.
*Refunds——
~~~~
I do not generally support refunds, as you should have a pretty good idea what you will be getting when you pay for your art. If we come to some disagreement that prevents me from completing your work, I may refund you for whatever portion of work I was not able to finish. This is however completely to my own discretion.
You're right though, I need to get a proper lineart thing posted, and I should probably make a better example for colored sketch~
And I can do anime characters some, it really depends on what you ask for. I don't mind drawing humans though~ c:
(the anime character I Was thinking of for the commission was Happy from Fairy Tail, do you know him? X3)
