This journal is my dracosona, Romulus.

Technically speaking, Romulus is my oldest character even predating my old pony oc Red who is retired now because the bronies made me hate ponies.

Romulus' earliest appearance were back in my sophomore year of high school.

Believe it or not Romulus actually started out as a dragon-rider type character because I was very much into the Eragon series at the time (the books not the movie), he was the dragon and I the rider. But as time went along I fell out of the Eragon series and thus Romulus took a back burner because it was around this time that I decided to become a brony... eugh >~< Though if given the chance to have never been a brony I would ultimately still choose to be a brony for the time because the few good bronies I met are good people that I still keep in contact with.

But enough brony crap. Anyway, Romulus was always red scaled and a male though for a little bit I considered making him a silver metallic dragon that breathed a paralyzing gas instead of fire but ultimately that idea was scrapped because I felt it was too much for one character. That silver incarnation crossed my mind because in the Eragon books one character, Murtagh had a red dragon named Thorn but still I kept Romulus red, partly because red is my favorite color.

But like I said, when I became a brony Romulus took a back burner to my characters. It wasn't until recently that he's come back in force. He came back when I was looking for a dragon fursona when I remembered him. He wasn't always an anthromorphic dragon but since being on FA I thought "what the heck" so I have him as an anthromporphic dragon in some of my stories but in more general art and depictions he's not anthro (I think it's called feral I don't know for sure).

As for his name, Romulus was kind of my first choice and it stuck perfectly. I wanted a strong name and a strong color for him. Since in roman lore Romulus and Remus fought each other over who would start the Roman people and by rule of inference Romulus won because the city is Rome and not Reme but I digress :3

That's really all the history for Romulus right now but hopefully I'll be making new history for him and all my characters here on FA. Next journal will be the newest newcomer: Keyote!
