Yup...doing that again :3

Welcome to my third contest! This time, there's a twist (kind of)

Just like last time, it's simple as can be. You draw an image or write a story featuring ANY of my characters. Who do you like most, and how far are you willing to go to prove it? 8D
I tag character names into every picture I do. So, if you're hurting for references, just type "nightfaux" and the name of the character into the FA search engine, and you'll find every picture I've done of them.

On December 3rd (ohhay, that's my birthday, just saying'), I will collect every submission and present them to a dais of anonymous judges. The three best images or stories will be rewarded with a full-shaded image (up to two characters) from me.
However, all pictures will be posted into my gallery with links back to your page at the end of the contest, so even if you don't win an image, you'll get some traffic out of this.

Up to three images or stories per artist may be submitted. I don't really plan on getting THAT many, but it was a question that came up last time x3

I will be happy to answer any further questions!

EDIT: Kay, I've had more offers for this than I would have thought possible already, so let's clear this up: submissions involving vore, blood/gore, kiddy stuff, hyper, or bodily excretia will not be accepted.

Hmm... I has an idea though it is more of a pic with a tiny short story to explain stuff, though may do a plan B fan service kind of thing too because my plan A is more on the clean side of things ^^; Hey sometimes more fun to play with the character of a character than raw design XP

I shall return in like a week or 2 with one thing done then a few days later for the plan B!!!

Question:

For our submission, do we have to follow the canon you've created to the letter, or are we allowed certain freedoms in that regard?

Also, any specific content restrictions for our submission?

Also, are we being judged on the quality of our submission, or on how far we're willing to prove we like a certain character of yours? I'm a little confused from what you meant in the journal.

Anyway, yeah, you're allowed some freedom, you don't have to stick to my canon. The only real restrictions are that you can't submit anything I wouldn't draw. No bodily excretions, no hyper, no gore, no kiddy stuff, the usual.

And you're being judged solely on completely subjective criteria. I gather a bunch of judges, and we all pick our favorite submissions with no real checklist. Quality is a factor, but so is style, artistic vision, emotional content, just whatever jumps out at us x3

Regardless I think I'll try to do a nice good long story~ and maybe a picture to go with it if Im feeling skilled. But.. I do have a question, what does Naomi teach..~? Like, what grade level? Or is her teaching just pure fantasy? xP

Ah hehe ok~ Just wanted to see how I could weasel myself into a story somehow~ That.. actually works out quite well! I (well, Melanie~) owns and runs her own Icecream company! So she obviously knows some about economics. I'll get working on it after work tomorrow~ hehe Though uhm.. My apologies if I end up with a small novel ^^;;

I wanna try something different (but I may not do it, as the materials my be limited), and I wanna get your OK before I do anything. What I want to do isn't really a picture or a story, but rather a sculpture using Clay. If you head over to my page I've go a few photo's of somethings I've done, and I've been trying to find a reason to get more clay and what to do... so, if its ok with you, then I think I'll finally crack down and get more clay, then perhaps sculpt up something for this contest

Clarification question: What is YOUR definition of 'hyper' Different people seem to have points at which they'll start calling bits hyper, or macro. Some people even consider hyper to be larger than macro.

I just know it when I see it, I guess :I The general rule is that if you have to ask "would someone consider this hyper?", then it's probably hyper. Any cock over maybe...a foot and a half, I guess.

My personal rule of thumb runs along the lines of "can they drive a car". If a character's proportions would prevent them from doing this, then they get to ride in the back.
