Please let me know, because I want to have this part done so I don't
need to think on it any longer until next time when I need to update it.
I still have a few things left to figure out anyway.
As I said in this journal I posted earlier.
'For the first... Free request and Gift(s) will always be available at this place of mine because I like to make others happy.'
'I’m not gonna keep my commissions at this place of mine, but another place where I will allow more fan related things and so on.'
I have a patreon that I'm trying to figure out how to use in a good way and keep
the price low over there for certain things like the ‘Inktober Challenge’ but since I
missed it I shall turn it into an ‘Ink-december Challenge’ (they both have 31 days).
More info here: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/6233344/
I need to figure out how to use my patreon in a good way. Maybe I will even star with
commissions over there as well, if I know what to charge from others as a first low price.
I guess I should charge Dollar instead of Euro from others. There’s many kind of dollar from
what I have noticed. I think I will take American Dollars as charge maybe. I need money for
a new computer since the one I’m using seems to be in need of an update from what I can tell.
I think you're better off starting fairly low until you get interest then raise them as needed, you could even just say it's like a starting special to get interest. I doubt I'll ever do them but I couldn't see myself charging more than $20-25 for a full body unless I got a lot better and I doubt I'd pay any more unless I really liked the style.
I may just be cheap but that's my thoughts.
A friend said “Sketches: $20 Inks / Line: $30 / Color (flat) $40”
Sadly I’m not sure if this should be for a full body or anything that I might create.
I need help with this and I do not want to risk too high/low charge for what I create for others and I really do hope I get some help along the way to learn about commissions.
With your following of 120 people, you have a very small pool of potential customers. Starting off with high prices will get you no commissions at all-- after all, for such prices, why not simply go out and find someone who's better than you? Harsh as it may be, it's very competitive. Good to start very low until you get a lot of people who are interested in your work. Once you've got them hooked, you can gradually increase your prices. Also just my two cents here but $35.00 for a bust and $55.00 for a flat coloured full body is absolutely ridiculous.
Note: These are not my final prices.
I know it's good to start low but I don't want to risk it being too low,
at least when it comes to full body, might take extra for complex
things and wings. I'm trying to become better at drawing
as time goes by and learn what I can improve.
