First time fursuiting
Last weekend I travelled to San Francisco, went to a lot of furry events, picked up my first fursuit, and went fursuiting for the first time ever!
Friday night was the opening of an art exhibition (Furries & Despair) in downtown San Francisco. (http://www.canessa.org) Eighteen suiters at a small venue, mixing with the art show crowd, wow. And a large group of us walked about a mile to and from the gallery through the downtown streets. I've never seen so much love for furries from random strangers! So many photos! So many smiling faces!
Saturday afternoon was Wild Things (http://dogpatchpress.wordpress.com/.....4/wild-things/), a kinky furry party at The Citadel, a San Francisco BDSM club. I'd say more about it, but, you know, can't talk. I will say, though, that sparkledogs look adorable in little kennel-cages!
And then Saturday night was the main event. Frolic (http://frolicparty.com). I showed up early and wandered around unsuited, meeting new people, chatting, and listening to the fantastic DJs. Then I got the text I was waiting for! The wonderful
whiteyfawks was here with my FIRST EVER FURSUIT! I eagerly grabbed it from his motorcycle and ran across the street to my hotel room to change.
Wow. Fursuiting turned out to be even more fun than I imagined it to be! I love the reaction of others when they see a suit. Walking over to Frolic suited, and back to the hotel and the end of the night, I was stopped by people wanting to take pictures!
At Frolic, I danced, I partied, I hugged EVERYBODY. Oh! I had SO MUCH fun!
Thanks to all the people who helped make it one of my best weekends ever. I finally got to meet
zarafa and chat. He's every bit as nice as his suit is cute! Thanks to
boilerroo for letting us invade her apartment for the art crawl Friday. And special thanks to
palominopony for being my Virgil for the weekend. As always, I forgot ten times as many names as I remember!
Now that I've had a taste of suiting, I can't wait for Midwest Fur Fest right around the corner, and another opportunity to get out and show my fur!

I had no idea, really, of what I was in for when I first got my fursuit. It's hard to describe how magical it is. And that's why, when we see someone about to get their first suit, we get so excited. Because we know: your life is about to change, in wonderful ways.
Can't wait to see you at MFF, for your second round of suiting. Woo-HOO!
