Happy New Year!!!! Also, contest. Ready to Express Yourself?

            <<<<<Happy New Year>>>>>
Hey guys! All you wonderful furs! All you pawsome watchers! All you brilliant musicians! Puppy here, coming at ya from down south in the sunny city of Sarasota, Florida! Funny enough, last year when I typed this journal I was in a nearly opposite setting… the Great White North of Canada! Unlike last year, where I’m staying actually has Wi-Fi, so life is good.
Furry Musicians was the group that encouraged and supported me to start making music all those years ago, and now that I've come in full circle and have been given the amazing opportunity to moderate the Furry Musicians group, I only want to give everyone the same opportunities I had.
<<<<<The contest/reward>>>>>
As I had done last year, the greatly successful ‘Express Yourself Contest’ is making a return in the New Year with bigger, badder prizes, and hopefully even more participants. If I recall correctly, the last contest had something like 65 submissions done for it, so let’s aim for even more this year. We have nearly 800 more followers since last time, so no excuses!
So, what are you creating for? Does an art commission from
orcaowl, a music commission from last year’s contest winner,
 KobaltDrag a promotional interview from
KhordKitty and your song of choice spotlighted on our group’s page for an entire YEAR sound good? What’s more, second and third place both receive a promotional interview from Khord and a music commission from either
 PepperCoyote or
 Faine!
<<<<<The Rules>>>>>
But what is this ‘Express Yourself’ challenge all about? To compete, you may create up to three songs (under one minute each) that you think best expresses yourself, post them up on FA, and then send a link to me in the comment section of a journal I’ll be putting out in the New Year (right when I get back home, so you have a few days to work before you can submit).
I’ll go through every link posted on the submission journal and comment, so even if you don’t win I’d still have considered and listened to what you made (perhaps bringing you and your music into my cross-hairs for future promotions when we return to our regular scheduling)! It’s a win-win situation, folks, so don’t be shy!
The length of the song will both open the contest up to beginner musicians who will be relying more heavily on loops, and yet at the same time present a challenge to the advanced, as you’re working with a time limit. The shortness of your song should carry its weight with depth and layering, so don’t think just because the song is short you can get away with copy and pasting your favorite loop over five times and calling it a song!
All songs must have been posted after 2014, meaning any song submitted in 2015 is fair game, but any before will not be considered!
<<<<<To Clarify>>>>>
+ The contest has three rounds. The first one is a general round, where you the musician link your submission on the submission journal, and I rate them using a 5/5 method. The second round will be the top ten submissions I’ve chosen. The third round will be the top three submissions, chosen via a polling system by you guys tuning in.
+ The first round ends when the second round starts, and voting for the second round ends by the time the third round starts
+ The genre of the song can be anything, so don’t worry!
+ You must have created your song after me putting up this journal for it to be considered.
+ Your song must be PG
+ You may submit up to three songs to this contest, but all three songs must be linked to me before I choose the top ten submissions. Only one of your submissions can make it to the second round.
+ I'd imagine that the first round of the contest will end at the end of February.
<<<<<End>>>>>
And that about sums it up, folks! Drink responsibly, love generously, and make a resolution! This only happens once a year, so enjoy it.

PS: Oh man, I've been a bad puppy! I forgot to welcome all of our recent followers! Since I've been on vacation, I was not able to say hi to each of you individually. Sorry! So, here is my warmest welcome to all you newcomers! Please, do enjoy your stay ^,..,^

This is not the submission journal, however. That's coming out in a few days!
I think you deserve some sort of medal, however. Three songs that abide to all the rules two hours after the midnight release of my journal! Talk about coming in hot!
Since I don't have any presents on paw... would a figurative present work for ya? Think about all you could imagine when given said box? What does it contain, what color is it? Amusement for hours!
So...
Enjoy!
~Puppy
Three unique submissions that you think best expresses yourself, linked to me when I release the submission journal!
Good?
Also, happy new year! :)
~Puppy
Other than that, actually looking good, I've got some stuff that I think is going to go down rather well indeed!
~Puppy
Thank you for your time Mr.

Lets see if next time I do such a thing, it won't be an accident...
Good luck, Draks! I'm interested to see what you are gonna bring to the table this year.
~Puppy
I look forwards to your submissions! Good luck, man.

To you too, V.
Always nice to see ya in the comment section. I think it's pretty cool that since the beginning of my timeline in the fandom, you've always been there, commenting on the submissions I'd put out, and a bunch of the submissions I'd eventually faved.
Thanks for every singe one of them. Comments mean the world to people in this community. Heck, you've given and received more comments then the whole group has!
Brilliant!
~Puppy
I just believe in letting a person know if I like something. Goodness knows how much I enjoy the comments myself.
By the by - did you see the commission Pepper did for me for my Mr. Grumble series? He is so incredibly talented.

happy new year!!!

I like that in a musician... musicians like you make it far if they can consistently put out that sort of tenacity.
I look forward to hear what you've produced!

But if you can make a long piece, do you think you could make a small?
